January 30, 2024DJ Poker makes use of the normal deck’s 54-card Joker variation. Each player has a designated place at the table in this two-to eight-player game. A series of play-zones, or “boxes,” are in front of this assigned seat where players can put their bets. Similar to the Ante in other table games, the Ante is a wager that needs to be placed prior to the player receiving their cards. There will be signs all around the table that will list the maximum and minimum bet amounts. Either one of these two figures, or the player’s ante, must be met.

The Blind box is located next to the Ante box. The Ante and the Blind have to be equal. The wager on which the payout table will be based is known as the Blind. For instance, your Blind is $5 if your Ante is $5. You will get $500 from your blind wager if you win a 100x payout.
After their cards are dealt, players use the Bet box to make their appropriate betting amount. The Blind’s value must be doubled by the Bet. With “even odds,” the Bet Wager and the Ante wager pay out 1:1 in the event of a win.
Lastly, players have the option to place a side wager on the Trips box. The Trips wager cannot go over the betting maximum specified on the table. In essence, the Trips wager is a gamble that a Player will hold a Three-kind or better. The relevant section below explains the unique payoff table for the Trips wager. Even if a Player loses against the Dealer, the Trips wager is still paid out.
Furthermore, a Player has the ability to Fold. Players simply forfeit their Ante and Blind and won’t lose any more money if they Fold before placing any additional bets in their boxes.
Each player will receive five cards after they have wagered their ante and blind. Based on those five cards, players select whether to play or fold. Players then enter two times their ante in the Bet box if they choose to Play.
The Dealer will expose their cards and compare them one by one to each Player once all Players have settled their bets and chosen whether to Fold or Play. Players win money when they are paid out, lose money when they aren’t, and then a fresh game starts with the Dealer rearranging the deck and collecting the cards. A new hand is started when players make fresh bets on their ante and blind.
The Joker and all 2s are considered Wildcards in DJ Wild. In a hand, they can be used to represent any card of any suit or rank. It is possible to have a five-card hand in DJ Wild that is made up only of Wildcards. With a value higher than a Royal Flush, this is the best hand in the game.
Strategy
There isn’t much you can do to genuinely alter the outcome of DJ Wild Poker, making it a luck-based game. But DJ Wild is scored using money, just like any other gambling game. Although you are unable to change how the hand plays out, you can try to manage the flow of your money by using gambling strategy. The preferred strategy of the gambling expert is folding since it is always preferable to lose two little bets than four little bets. Do not waste money playing in a hopeless and futile endeavor if you are not likely to win a hand. Just fold and move on to the next hand.
The Trip Bet is generally best avoided because it is impossible to have the cards fall in your favor 100% of the time. The Trips Bet has much higher odds of losing than winning. It is more likely that you will receive almost nothing for taking the risk, even if you are able to win the Trips Bet. About 14% of the time, you will get a 3-kind on your Trips Bet. This indicates that you have nearly a 90% chance of losing OR only winning 1:1 on your Trips wager. Don’t make the Trips bet.
