CFB Futures – 2024 Louisville Cardinals Win Total Odds
July 22, 2024CFB Futures – 2024 LSU Tigers Win Total Odds
July 23, 2024Tony Finau is one of the few top players in the world who will tee it up for this week’s 3M Open in Minnesota. Most of the world’s best players are taking the week off after last week’s Open Championship, especially with Olympic golf taking place next week. Finau is listed at golf betting odds of +1000 at Caesars and he is the clear top choice, as Sam Burns is a distant second at odds of +1800. If Finau doesn’t win then it could be another longshot coming through in a PGA Tour event. Even though there are not many top players in the field, there are plenty of recognizable names to consider. Let’s look at 3M Open odds and picks.
Reduced juice betting is one of the best ways for any sports bettor to save money and far too many people don’t take advantage of it. If you are not playing at a sportsbook that offers reduced juice betting then you are simply giving away money. Check out the latest 3M Open odds at Caesars.
Venue: TPC Twin Cities in Blaine, Minnesota is a par 71 that measures 7,431 yards. It is considered an easy course with wide fairways and large greens. The only real defense is water hazards that are in play on 15 of the 18 holes.
Last Year: Lee Hodges blitzed the field a year ago, shooting 24-under par to win by seven shots over J.T. Poston, Martin Laird and Kevin Streelman. Keith Mitchell and Dylan Wu tied for fifth.

Favorite
Tony Finau +1000
It was another favorite losing last week and this time it was Scottie Scheffler who failed as the favorite. Scheffler had been the one player who you could trust as the golf betting favorite, but not last week. I say on a weekly basis that golf betting favorites are a losing proposition overall except for Scheffler and now Scheffler might not be able to be trusted. This week it is Tony Finau in the role of favorite. He has played well in this event, winning it two years ago and he also has two other top 10 finishes. Finau did not play well last week at the Open Championship and I can’t back him as a favorite, despite his good history in this tournament.
Golf Picks
Sam Burns +1800
Burns played well last week at the Open Championship and he has proven in the past that he can win on Bermudagrass greens. He also prefers courses that are easier, as three of his four wins have come on easy courses with winning scores of -17, -17 and -22. Burns needs to make up some ground in the rankings, as he is just outside qualification for the President’s Cup. I expect Burns to contend this week and we get decent golf betting odds.
Erik van Rooyen +4000
There is no doubt that van Rooyen likes the area, as he went to college in Minnesota and he trains in the area. He has played well this season with some good finishes and he is capable of winning. He is within striking distance of getting on the International President’s Cup team. A win would be huge for him and this field is one in which he can contend.
Jhonattan Vegas +4500
When it comes to winning the 3M Open it is oftentimes all about distance off the tee. Vegas ranks 9th on the PGA Tour in driving distance and he should have a good week. He has been playing pretty well of late with his last three finishes being in the Top 27. The field this week is not that strong and Vegas can contend for the win.
Adam Hadwin +4500
Another player who is just outside qualification for the Presidents Cup is Hadwin who is 11th in qualification for the International team. He is a player who does well on courses that are easy. He also plays well on Bentgrass greens which is another plus for this week.
Hayden Springer +10000
Springer ranks 8th on the PGA Tour in driving distance and we know that distance is a big key this week. He has shown he can play well, as he finished in the Top 10 in the Rocket Mortgage Classic and the John Deere Classic. I think Springer is a live underdog this week at big odds.
Patton Kizzire +17500
A huge longshot this week is Kizzire and you know with Kizzire it is all or nothing. He has won twice on the PGA Tour so when he gets into contention, he is a serious threat. He is another player who does well when the course is easy. I think he is seriously undervalued this week.Check out the latest 3M Open odds at Caesars.
