NFL Week 13 Parlay Picks
November 27, 2024Auburn vs. Alabama Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions
November 28, 2024The Minnesota Vikings return from a successful road trip no worse for the ware having logged three straight wins to keep pace with the Detroit Lions atop the NFC North standings. Meanwhile, the Arizona Cardinals invade the Twin Cities off dropping a costly 16-6 decision in Seattle which cost them the AFC west lead and pushed them into the outside looking into the NFC playoff picture. It goes without saying, but this is a huge game for Jonathan Gannon’s troops with the only avenue to reach the postseason likely to come by way of winning the division. PROLINE+ opened the for this non-divisional NFC tilt up with the Vikings laying 3-points and the total lined 48. Market corrections have occurred with both the NFL odds and total since with the Vikings now laying 3.5-points and the Over/Under plummeting three points to 45.

Arizona Cardinals vs. Minnesota Vikings NFL Same Game Parlay:
The bye didn’t treat the Redbirds good evidenced by the poor showing put forth in front of the 12th Man coming out of it. After going into the off week averaging a robust 29.3 points per game, Kyler Murray and Co. only managed to put six on the board against a Seahawks defense it had the weaponry to take advantage of. It didn’t come to pass. Murray stunk up the joint playing to a 77.0 QB rating by way of throwing for 285 yards and 0:1 TD/INT ratio with the lone miscue returned for six the other way on a play that completely changed the tide of the game in the third quarter. No. 1 will need to be on top of his game against a blitz happy Minnesota defense that he should be able to hurt with his legs when evading pressure. Even more important will be getting James Conner back on track after the veteran RB was held to eight yards and 1.1 yards per carry on his eight overall totes of the rock against a Seattle defense that had been beatable on the ground (#23) previously. Mother Nature played a major role in the unit’s ineffectiveness, but the dry track of U.S. Bank Stadium should allow for it to get back into high gear.
Not much came off as impressive about Minnesota sweeping its most recent road trip. The extended venture kicked off with an ugly 12-7 win at Jacksonville which saw Kevin O’Connell’s squad fail to cover the touchdown spread. That was followed up with a 23-13 win and cover at Tennessee in a game that was dominated by the defense which held the punchless Titans to 294 yards of total offense and accrued five sacks. Then last week, Minnesota survived a furious comeback staged by the Chicago Bears to get out of the Windy City with the 30-27 win and non-cover against the closing NFL odds in tow. Justin Jefferson has gone missing in recent weeks. Though Sam Darnold threw for 330 yards and 2 TD against the Bears last Sunday, No. 18 only caught two balls for 27 scoreless yards. It’s high time Minnesota gets their WR1 back in the mix! This week’s matchup against a Cardinals pass defense that allows over 218 passing yards per game (#20) and 1.8 passing touchdowns per game on the road presents an excellent opportunity to capitalize.
I’m curious to see the level of intensity the Vikings bring to the field returning home off an extended, yet successful road trip. Catching the juggernaut Detroit Lions in the standings seems unlikely at this juncture. A win in Week 13 boosts their playoff odds to 99 percent, while a loss only drops the team’s chances to 95 percent. The stakes are much higher for the visiting Cardinals, who would see their postseason chances jump to 68 percent with a win but plummet to 43 percent should they come up short. Given the circumstances, I fully expect the Cardinals to go all out to secure the outright NFL odds victory. With the Vikings dealing with injuries to key defensive players and lacking the must-win mindset Zona invades Minneapolis with, I’m taking the points and hitting the over for this same-game parlay. If any team is due for a visit from the negative regression monster, it’s the Minnesota Vikings!
