Thunder at Warriors Same Game Parlay Pick
January 27, 2025Hawks at Cavaliers Same Game Parlay – Jan 30
January 28, 2025Can we say that the 2025 PGA Tour season actually begins this week? We obviously can’t say that since there have been a number of events in January but this week’s AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am will be the first event that will have the top two players in the world, Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy in the field. Scheffler is ranked No. 1 in the latest World Golf Rankings and McIlroy is No. 3, but Rory is still considered second behind Scheffler in power rankings. Those two are the top two choices at Proline+ with Scheffler listed at odds of 6.5-1 while McIlroy is listed with odds of 13-1. Scheffler has missed the start of the season due to a minor hand injury, but he is back this week and Rory usually doesn’t start his PGA Tour season until late January. Let’s look at AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am odds and picks.

Favorite
Scottie Scheffler +650
It was another favorite losing last week when Hideki Matsuyama was never in contention. It should go without saying by now that betting golf favorites are a losing proposition overall. I have said before that the one player who is the exception to that rule is Scheffler. He is the only player who is worth considering as a favorite to win a golf tournament. I always consider Scheffler in any tournament he is entered in and maybe he can win this event coming off a layoff and a minor injury, but I am leery, simply because this is his first tournament and he hasn’t played in a while. I may regret it, but I’ll pass on taking Scheffler this week.
Value Picks
Justin Thomas 17-1
There is no doubt that Thomas is playing much better this year and he looks like a player who is going to win again. He looked good in The American Express, finishing second and he has looked better on the greens lately. If his putter can be halfway decent this week then Thomas could have a chance to win.
Jason Day 36-1
There is no denying that Day has a lot of experience at Pebble and many of his finishes have been good, but he hasn’t won. He comes in playing well with a third at The American Express and he was 32nd last week at the Farmers. He is another player who could be in the mix for the win if he gets his putter to cooperate.
Keegan Bradley 51-1
We know that Bradley can win big events, and he is playing really well this season. Bradley has also played well at Pebble with a 15th in 2011 and an 11th last season. He has finished in the top 15 in his last three events. His putting can be inconsistent, but he putted well in this event a year ago.
Maverick McNealy 71-1
McNealy does his best work on shorter courses. He finished 2nd in this event in 2021 and he was 5th in 2020. He played well at The Sentry with an 8th place finish and he could be in the mix this week and we get big odds.
Nick Taylor 76-1
Taylor has won this event in the past and there is no doubt he is in excellent form. He won the Sony Open in Hawaii and finished 12th at The American Express. He is another player who does well on short courses.
Eric Cole 151-1
I’ll go with one big longshot and take Cole. He has played his best on shorter courses, as he was runner-up at the Honda and 3rd at the RSM Classic. He was 5th just a few weeks ago in Hawaii. He has played well at Pebble in the past with 14th and 15th place finishes.Check out the latest AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am odds at Proline+
