He last fought on December 5, 2020, when he faced Danny Garcia and it was Spence winning a unanimous decision. Spence won a split decision against Shawn Porter in September of 2018, won a unanimous decision against Mikey Garcia in March of 2019, won by first round knockout against Carlos Ocampo in June of 2018 and won by 7th round RTD against Lamont Peterson in January of 2018.

Nicknamed “54 Milagros.” Ugas stands at five feet, nine inches tall and he has a reach of 69 inches. He fights from an orthodox stance. Ugas last fought in August of 2021 when he fought Manny Pacquiao for the WBA welterweight title. Ugas won a 12-round unanimous decision. Ugas won a split decision against Abel Ramos in September of 2020, won a 7th round RTD against Mike Dallas Jr. in February of 2020, won a unanimous decision against Omar Figueroa Jr. in July of 2019. Ugas lost a split decision to Shawn Porter in March of 2019.

There is definitely no value in taking Spence to win this fight at odds of more than 5-1. Ugas is a very capable fighter and he is not without a chance to win this fight. There were also some interesting quotes from the trainer of Ugas saying that he doesn’t think Spence is the same fighter since his accident. The value in this bout is definitely on Ugas and taking a flyer on him at big odds could be the way to go. Playing the rounds is also an option, as this fight seems likely to go the distance, so going over the rounds total is also worth considering.
