Caesars Palace Online Casino, in collaboration with Evolution Gaming, has introduced Caesars NHL Blackjack, their newest live dealer game, to heighten the thrill of the 2024 NHL playoffs. The game is already accessible in Caesars’ online casino’s lobby.  Beginning in March of this year, Caesars Entertainment and the National Hockey League (NHL) extended their partnership. The cornerstone of the agreement was laid in 2019 when Caesars, an iGaming and sportsbook operator, gained access to the NHL’s intellectual property. This allowed Caesars to create casino games including NHL branding for its markets in North America. 

The most recent product to come out of this cooperation agreement is Caesars NHL Blackjack. It is an additional component of the online casino’s strategy to offer games that suit the preferences of its users. Executives from Caesar Entertainment stated in the press release announcing the game’s launch that this product is merely the first in a planned series of casino games bearing the NHL’s name.

Normal Blackjack Game

Caesars NHL Blackjack is a conventional blackjack game with all of the standard bet options and rules. The NHL logo and the color of an icy blue hockey rink are the most noticeable differences between this live dealer version of Blackjack and other games. Evolution Gaming, which broadcasts the blackjack table live in excellent video quality, is where the croupiers are “borrowed.” 

In the industry, this kind of cooperation is nothing new. Different online casinos can access unbranded table games offered by in-house dealers from provider Evolution Gaming. It can also provide exclusive games with branded content. This kind of business arrangement is used with BetMGM and DraftKings, two other online casinos in Michigan. Caesars NHL Blackjack, which is gaining popularity in the Michigan iGaming industry, is another step toward exclusive content. 

Potential New NHL Branded Games?

Particularly in the Michigan region, Caesars Entertainment is growing increasingly involved in the iGaming industry. Caesars Palace Online Casino, a more specialized and extensive iGaming platform, was introduced by the corporation in the summer of 2023 as a companion to Caesars Sportsbook and Casino. 

A new casino app is expected to be released by the end of 2024 under the Caesars group of brands, per the company’s announcement at the beginning of May. Based on revenue data, Caesars is now ranked as the fifth best operator. Its extensive game lobby and no deposit bonus offers contribute to its advantageous market position. The news that more NHL games are in development indicates efforts to expand.  

Regarding future game releases under the terms of the licenses with the National Hockey League, Caesars has not released any further details. Nonetheless, an NHL slot won’t be shocking because it already has other branded sports games with teams like the NFL’s Buffalo Bills, NBA’s Memphis Grizzlies, and MLB’s New York Mets.
