December 13, 2024Chicago Bears vs. Minnesota Vikings Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions Recap
The Minnesota Vikings delivered a dominant 30-12 victory over the Chicago Bears on Monday night, securing their seventh straight win and forging a tie for first place in the NFC North at 12-2. With their playoff spot already clinched, the Vikings showcased postseason-caliber defense and balanced offensive production to maintain momentum and cover the closing 7-point NFL odds. Minnesota’s defense was relentless, allowing Chicago to convert only 1 of 12 third downs and holding the Bears scoreless in the first half for the third straight game.
Jonathan Greenard’s strip-sack of Caleb Williams set up the Vikings’ first touchdown, a 12-yard pass from Sam Darnold to Justin Jefferson, who finished with seven catches for 73 yards. Darnold completed 24 of 40 passes for 231 yards but faced consistent pressure, throwing his first interception in five games. Despite a few stalled drives, Minnesota capitalized on their opportunities. Aaron Jones carried 18 times for 86 yards, including a second-half touchdown, while Cam Akers added another rushing score to extend the lead.
Chicago’s rookie quarterback Caleb Williams extended his streak of 286 passes without an interception but was limited to 191 yards and a late touchdown to Keenan Allen after a blocked punt. The Bears, now 4-10, struggled with execution, failing on two key fourth-and-1 attempts and negating a touchdown with penalties. D’Andre Swift rushed for 79 yards but couldn’t find consistent success against Minnesota’s defense. The Bears ongoing offensive woes continued, with the team outscored 53-0 in the first halves of their last three games. Interim coach Thomas Brown acknowledged the need for improved play-calling and execution as the Bears’ struggles persist.
Being a diehard Bears fan with a +7 ticket in my back pocket, this was an extremely tough one to watch. As poorly Chicago played, we still had a shot to cash in all three legs of this same-game parlay over at Caesars Sportsbook. Instead, penalties (9), turnovers (1), failed 4th down tries (1/3), and touchdowns being negated by penalties (1) ultimately saw us take the collar. The Bears lost by 18, only scored 12, and Williams came two slings of the pigskin away from toppling his pass attempts prop. I would’ve been even more furious if Tyson Bagent got those last two pass attempts when he was called on to lead the final drive! This season can’t end soon enough for Bears fans!!

Week 15 betting action closes out in the first of two games scheduled to go under the Monday night lights when the Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears close their regular season rivalry out in the Twin Cities. Chicago laid a huge egg in Silicon Valley last Sunday in Thomas Brown’s head coaching debut getting roasted by the 49ers 38-13 in a game they closed laughable 3-point dogs. Kevin O’Connell’s troops went on to tally one of their more memorable NFL odds wins of the year after the offense exploded in the fourth quarter to turn a competitive game with the Falcons into a 42-21 laugher. Caesars Sportsbook initially lined the Vikings 5.5-point favorites with a total of 42 for this divisional clash. Buying into last week’s results hook, line, and sinker, NFL bettors have pushed the number to beat out to the key number of -7 with 70+ percent of the money in favor of the line move. The O/U also jumped to 43.5 after the teams combined for 57 points in the first go-round at Soldier Field.

Chicago Bears vs. Minnesota Vikings NFL Same Game Parlay:
After last week’s debacle on the west coast, I can’t help but think Brown will take more of a hands-on approach with the offense after it spit the bit in a huge way last week. Immediately after Brown took over offensive coordinator duties from Shane Waldron, Chicago’s offense looked completely different. The ball was getting out quick. Caleb Williams was efficient. Most important, the Bears started putting points on the board with it getting the Packers for 19, the Vikings for 27, and Lions for 20. The pieces remain in place for them to get back to doing that against what I believe to be an extremely susceptible defense provided the Bears keep their quarterback upright and don’t turn it over.
Easier said than done, I get it. However, Williams already played to a 103.1 QB rating against Minnesota back in Week 12 when he completed 32 of 47 passes for 340 yards and a couple scores. The key in that one was attacking the middle of the field which he did repeatedly with D.J. Moore and Keenan Allen proving to be his primary beneficiaries with the former going for 106 yards and a score and the latter going for 86 and a score. Very little was done on the ground against Minnesota’s stout run defense (#2), so it’s highly likely the No. 1 pick in last year’s NFL Draft will be stepping back a ton to pass with Chicago’s best shot to come out of this game with a win likely to come down to how much it can take advantage of the Vikings leaky pass D (#29).
We faded the Vikings at home last week against the Falcons and came out a big loser. We looked great through three quarters with the game knotted at 21 due to Bijan Robinson’s big day, but Kirk Cousins allowed let the game to go sideways resulting in 21 straight Minnesota points. As lucky the Chiefs have been to come out with a number of wins they likely shouldn’t have, it might be time for the defending champs to hold the Vikings’ beer. Let’s rewind to Week 10 when Minny was lucky to get out of Duval County with a 12-7 win in tow after the offense failed to score a single touchdown. Then it withstood a furious comeback by the Bears to escape the Windy City with an OT win. Immediately after that, it was forced to battle back from a 19-6 third quarter deficit to topple the Cardinals 23-22. If not for Cousins of the belief he was still supposed to throw to the guys in purple jerseys, the win streak likely would’ve been snapped last week.
Bottom line, the Vikings have been forced to exert a ton of energy and drain themselves mentally to keep their six-game win streak intact. There’s going to be a dramatic falloff at some point, as darn near close to impossible it is to continue winning games like this week in and week out. That paired with Chicago looking to put forth a much better semblance of itself in game two of Brown’s interim run as head coach, I’m of the belief the final meeting between these rivals is as competitive as the first proved to be. A quick glance at the box score tells me that Sam Darnold and his mates have no business laying this type of number. With that, I’m gonna pour myself a tall glass of Bears Kool-Aid and expect Williams and the offense to put on a show in their final prime time appearance of the season.
