The owners of the longshot winner said that Rich Strike would participate in the Belmont Stakes in three weeks. Hall of Fame trainer D. Wayne Lucas has often remarked that he enjoys the Preakness Stakes more than the Kentucky Derby. Although he has won both events on multiple occasions.
