February 11, 2025One of the more popular stops on the tour is the destination this week when the field heads to the capital of South Australia for LIV Golf Adelaide. The new season is starting with a flourish as we get rare back-to-back weeks of competition. Going off with odds around 80/1 at Caesars sportsbook, Adrian Meronk won his first LIV title last week in Riyadh sneaking up on the field for a 2-swing triumph. Though his golf odds are shorter on the opening line this week, Meronk is still down the board behind such notables as betting favorite Jon Rahm, Tyrrell Hatton, Joaquin Niemann and Bryson DeChambeau, who all hit the board with odds shorter than 10/1. Rahm finished in a tie for second last week and has placed among the top 10 in every tournament he completed since joining LIV ahead of last season and he returned to his familiar spot as the outright favorite. Phil Mickelson had played in every LIV event before sitting out last week and he’s expected to be back in the lineup, though he’s a major longshot.
Venue: The Grange Golf Club will host for a third consecutive year though the tournament is a few months earlier this time. One of the most prestigious clubs around The Grange features two internationally rated championship golf courses which will both be used. The layout features a composite made up of holes from the East and West courses with an approximate range of less than 7,000 yards at par 72. The course features tree-lined fairways, plenty of bunkers and average-sized undulating greens.
Last Year: Brendan Steele won for the first time on the LIV circuit finishing one-shot better than Louis Oosthuizen. A second-round 64, the lowest score of the day and tied for the second lowest of the tournament, put Steele in the lead. He then held off the field for his first pro win since the PGA Tour’s 2017 Safeway Open.

Jon Rahm +650
Rahm picked up where he left off finishing T2 in Riyadh last week. In his previous three LIV starts he had two wins and another runner-up. One of his eight top 5s on the LIV circuit last year came in Adelaide when he earned a share of third with several other players two-shots back of Steele. You can call him consistent, too. Rahm carded three rounds of 67 under the lights in Riyadh.
Value Picks
Cameron Smith +1200
The Aussie native has performed well in his home country and is on a nice run of form leading up to the tournament. During the offseason he putted around different tour’s worldwide racking up four podiums in five starts. He was runner-up at the DP World Tour’s BMW Australian PGA Championship in November. He also finished T3 at this event in 2023.
Louis Oosthuizen +2500
Despite his T25 last week I still like Oosthuizen to break the seal on a LIV title sooner rather than later. He made a run last year with a closing 65 to finish just one swing behind Steele for his fifth podium finish worldwide in 2024. He finished the year with six top 10s in 10 starts on the LIV circuit.
Sergio Garcia +2500
Garcia is another player enjoying the fruits of his game on the LIV Tour. Going back to last year he has three straight top 10s, including a runner-up showing in Chicago. All this came after his first LIV victory when he won at Andalucia in a playoff last July. Garcia opened the season with a T6 in Riyadh.
Talor Gooch +4000
The first winner of this tournament, Gooch was masterful with back to back rounds of 62 to open the 2023 edition. He collapsed in the final round with a 73 but still had enough of a cushion to win by three swings. The victory also started an impressive run of three wins in five LIV events that also included titles at Valderrama and Singapore. His game has been a bit off lately with a T6 in the UK last July his only top 10 in his last 10 starts. However, a return to the venue that started a glorious stretch could make the difference.
