LIV Golf gets back into action this week with the LIV Golf Jeddah in Saudi Arabia. Jon Rahm is once again listed as the betting favorite to win in LIV Golf, as his odds are +500 at Caesars. Rahm got a lot of publicity when he joined LIV and oddsmakers continue to have him listed as a solid favorite, despite the fact he has not yet won on LIV. Dustin Johnson and two-time defending LIV Golf Jeddah champion Brooks Koepka are co-second choices at odds of +1000. Joaquin Niemann is fourth in the betting odds at +1100. The other players listed with odds of less than +2500 are Tyrrell Hatton and Taylor Gooch at +1200, Bryson DeChambeau at +1400 and Cameron Smith at +1500. Venue: Royal Greens Golf and Country Club in Saudi Arabia is a par 70 course that measures 7,048 yards. The hole that gets the spotlight on this course is the par-3 16th hole that is located next to the Red Sea.
Last Year: Brooks Koepka won this event for the second straight season a year ago, winning in a playoff against Talor Gooch. Both players finished at 14-under par and it was Koepka winning on the second playoff hole.

Favorite
Jon Rahm +500
I have been saying for years that golf betting favorites do not win enough to be profitable. That applies to the LIV Golf Tour and to the PGA Tour. The odds on Rahm are simply too low, as he hasn’t been in top form yet this season. Rahm is definitely capable of winning any time he tees it up, but the LIV Golf field each week does have some top players and although Rahm is considered the best player, it is not a big separation between Rahm and a number of other players. I can’t back Rahm at odds this low and as the favorite.
Golf Picks
Joaquin Niemann +1100
Niemann has been playing as well as anyone on the LIV Tour this season. He won in Mayakoba and he finished in the top five in an Asian Tour event. He got an invite to the Masters and he has played well at Royal Greens with a pair of Top 10 finishes.
Talor Gooch +1200
Gooch finished second in Vegas and we know he plays well on this course, as he lost in a playoff to Koepka last year. Gooch is one of the top players on the LIV Tour in terms of driving accuracy and that should help him this week.
Sergio Garcia +2500
Sergio nearly won the season-opener in Mayakoba but lost in a playoff to Niemann. Sergio struggled in Las Vegas, but that course didn’t suit his game. He should do much better at Royal Greens which is a shorter course. He has played well on this course in the past with top six finishes three times.
Adrian Meronk +2500
A popular pick this week is Meronk. He has played well recently with a win on the DP World Tour last October and he has four finishes in the Top 10 in his last five events overall. He did well in Dubai in January with finishes of T10 and 2nd.
Paul Casey +3500
Casey is playing better this season in LIV with a tie for 11th and a tie for 5th. He has played well at Royal Greens with a fifth place finish. Casey is definitely capable of doing well on short courses and we get an attractive price on him this week.
