NBA Parlay Picks for Wednesday, April 5, 2023
April 4, 2023Masters Props
April 4, 2023The Masters gets underway on Thursday with Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy listed as the golf betting favorites at BetRivers. Scheffler will be looking to defend his title and based on how he is playing this year, he has a real chance to win. Augusta National is a course where experience is critical, as no player since Fuzzy Zoeller in 1979 has won The Masters in his debut. We cooled off a bit last week going 1-2-2 with the matchups at the Valero Texas Open, but it was a week where we advised caution, so we’ll get right back to it this week. Let’s look at Masters matchup picks.
Defending Champion: Scottie Scheffler
Tournament Notes: Scoring could be a challenge on the weekend when the temperatures drop and the wind picks up.

Golf Picks
Rahm, Jon -129 vs. Cantlay, Patrick
Rahm has been playing superbly this year and he leads the PGA Tour in adjust scoring, par breakers and par-3 scoring. He has finished in the top 10 at Augusta four times. I took a shot with Cantlay in the odds article, but Rahm simply has better overall numbers and in this matchup the price is small.
Schauffele, Xander -110 vs. Finau, Tony
It is only a matter of time before Schauffele wins his first major. He has finished well at August National in the past and this could be his year. He has three top 10 finishes of late, so he is in fine form. Finau has been up and down at The Masters in his career, so he could contend, but this play is more on Schauffele than against Finau.
Kopeka, Brooks -180 vs. Bryson DeChambeau
Koepka played well last week on the LIV Tour and won and we know he does well at Augusta. There is now a pretty good difference in terms of play, as DeChambeau has not played well in quite a while. Koepka looks like the clear choice in this matchup, so I will lay the price and take Koepka in this matchup.
Shane Lowry -128 vs. Min Woo Lee
One of the players I took as a longshot to win in the odds article was Lowry. He usually plays well in difficult conditions and in the wind, so the weather should suit him just fine this weekend. I’ll lay the small price and take Lowy in this matchup
.
Justin Rose -112 vs. Tyrrell Hatton
I went against Hatton last week and it worked out well and I still don’t think he is healthy. Rose has played well in The Masters with six top 10 finishes, including a seventh-place finish two years ago. We know he can still contend, as he won at Pebble Beach a couple of months ago. I’ll take Rose in this matchup.
