Masters Matchup Picks
April 10, 2024Worst Casino Bets
April 10, 2024There are a lot of ways to bet on the Masters. Not only can you bet on who you think will win or some of the many head-to-head matchups, you can also bet on the props. There are a lot of props on golf’s first major of the season available at Caesars. If you are worried about one of the big three of Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy or Jon Rahm winning the tournament and ruining your chances of hitting a longshot, you can bet a prop at Caesars where you bet on someone other than the big three to win. You can bet on players to finish in the top 5, top 10 or top 20 and you can get odds boosts on players like Max Homa, Jordan Spieth, etc. You can also simply bet on a player to make the cut. For example, Scheffler is -2000 to make the cut while Tiger Woods is -187 to make the cut. You can even make same game parlay Masters picks at Caesars. Let’s look at some Masters props at Caesars and some other props available at BetMGM and FanDuel.
Winner without Scheffler Odds at Caesars
Xander Schauffele +1200
If you are worried that Scheffler will win the Masters and ruin your longshot pick then you really should take a look at the winner without Scheffler odds at Caesars. There is no doubt that Scheffler is the world’s best player and he could win the Masters. There is, however, no value in taking Scheffler at odds of just over 3-1. The better option is to take another golfer. I recommended Schauffele in the odds preview and his odds are not much different without Scheffler, as we get him at 12-1 in Masters odds. Maybe this is the year that Schauffele finally breaks through and wins a major.
Top 10 Odds at Caesars
Xander Schauffele +130
If I am going to go all-in on someone then why not make it a top 10 finish as well on Schauffele just in case he doesn’t win. He has been known to get close a number of times and come up just short. This wager gives us a little insurance and we still get plus money.
Top Dane Odds at BetMGM
Nicolai Hojgaard -110 vs. Thorbjorn Olesen
I have been going against Olesen on a regular basis with some decent success, so why not here? This is basically just a head-to-head matchup, as they are the only two Danes on the board. I won’t overthink it and simply take Hojgaard in this matchup.
Top Asian Odds at BetMGM
Hideki Matsuyama +125
Si Woo Kim +400
Byeong Hun An +600
Sungjae Im +600
Tom Kim +700
Ryo Hisatsune +1400
Another player I put the spotlight on in the odds preview was Matsuyama. He has played well of late with a couple of top 10 finishes and we know he can play well at Augusta, as he won in 2021. I think Matsuyama is the clear standout among the Asian players, as Kim wouldn’t figure to have the distance to play well at Augusta and I don’t think An or Hisatsune is ready to compete at a high level in this tournament. Im and Tom Kim have not played well of late and although I think both have enough talent to win the Masters, neither is in good form. I’ll take Matsuyama at plus money in this prop.
Big Guns vs. The Field Odds at FanDuel
The Field -215
Big Guns (Scheffler, McIlroy, Rahm and Schauffele) +158
This prop is an interesting one, especially since I think Schauffele will be in contention and because I think Scheffler could definitely win. We also get McIlroy and Rahm thrown in there as part of the Big Guns. The Masters is so top heavy that this may be a decent bet. Longshots have been coming in on a regular basis in terms of PGA Tour winners this season, but Scheffler has been one favorite who has won and Rahm used to be that player when he was part of the PGA Tour. We have some longshots in the odds preview, so this bet also gives us four of the top favorites.Check out the latest Masters odds at Caesars.
