June 4, 2024MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions – Thursday, June 6
June 4, 2024It is another Signature Event on the PGA Tour this week so that means all of the top PGA players in the world are in the field, including World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler who is listed as the favorite at Caesars with odds of +360. The second choice in the golf betting odds is World No. 3 Rory McIlroy at +800, with World No. 2 Xander Schauffele third at +1000. Other players listed at odds of less than +2000 are Colin Morikawa at +1200 and Ludvig Aberg and Viktor Hovland at +1800. The Memorial is a good tune-up for the U.S. Open so it should be an exciting tournament this week. Let’s look at Memorial Tournament odds and picks.
Check out the latest Memorial Tournament odds at Caesars.
Venue: Muirfield Village is par 72 that measures 7,569 yards. The course was designed by Jack Nicklaus so it is tough with tree-lined fairways, tough bunkers and 13 holes where water is in play.
Last Year: Viktor Hovland defeated Denny McCarthy in a playoff to win the Memorial a year ago. McCarthy had a one-shot lead heading to 18 but he missed the fairway and ended up missing a 25-foot par putt that would have given him the win. Scottie Scheffler finished third, missing the playoff by one shot, while Si Woo Kim finished fourth.

Favorite
Scottie Scheffler +350
It was another golf betting favorite that didn’t win last week, as McIlroy couldn’t make up enough ground on Sunday to catch Robert MacIntyre. Golf betting favorites other than Scheffler have been a disaster this season, but this week it is Scheffler in the role of favorite so he has to be considered. I won’t argue if you take Scheffler, but I would prefer his odds more in the range of 6-1.
Golf Picks
Collin Morikawa +1200
There is no question that Morikawa is playing well and his last win on the PGA Tour was at the ZOZO Championship on a tree-lined course in Japan. Morikawa finished 3rd at the Masters, 9th at the RBC Heritage, 16th at the Wells Fargo Championship, 4th at the PGA Championship and 4th at the Charles Schwab Challenge. He definitely looks poised to win and that win could happen at Muirfield Village. He lost in a playoff in this event in 2020 and he has won on previous Nicklaus-designed courses in the past.
Viktor Hovland +1800
Hovland is coming off a very good effort last time out at the PGA Championship. It was just a year ago that Hovland won this event and you can make a case for Hovland winning again. He has done well in previous title defenses and I think he will be in the mix again this week.
Justin Thomas +2500
Thomas played well at the PGA Championship with an 8th place finish and he ranked highly in a number of key categories. If he can just get his putter going, he can be in the mix for the win this week. Thomas has played well at Muirfield Village in the past with a playoff loss to Morikawa in the Workday Charity Open in 2020 and he finished 4th in 2017 and 8th in 2018.
Byeong Hun An +4500
Is this the week where An gets his first PGA Tour win? He is one of the best drivers of the ball in the field and he is also very good with his long irons. He ranks in the Top 10 in total driving and he ranks in the Top 10 in proximity from 200+ yards. He is playing perhaps as well as he ever has and he has played well in this event in the past, including a playoff loss in 2018.
Tony Finau +5000
Look at the odds on Finau. He is listed as a longshot at 50-1. He has played well at Muirfield Village in the past with an 8th in 2015, an 11th in 2016 and he was 13th in 2018. He led in 2020 after the first and second rounds before falling to 8th. He could surprise this week at big odds.Check out Memorial Tournament odds at Caesars.
