May 8, 2024Last Friday’s MLB parlay picks were nothing to write home about. Though the Phillies cashed with Aaron Nola on the bump, a bulk of the scoring unfortunately took place in the first five innings costing us a cash on the under. Toronto got out to a quick 3-0 second inning lead, but failed to score a run the rest of the way and the bullpen spoiled another fantastic showing from Kikuchi by giving up 8 ER immediately after the lefty departed following the sixth inning. The Blue Jays ain’t it this baseball betting season! There’s a number of nice spots on Friday night’s card, so lets’ dig into ‘em and look to add to our bottom line over at Caesars Sportsbook – SLAM YOUR MAN!!

Chicago Cubs vs. Pittsburgh Pirates MLB Same Game Parlay:
An intriguing clash goes down in PNC Friday night when Jameson Taillon squares off against the team that drafted him who will send rookie phenom Jared Jones to the bump to make his eighth start of the season. If you’ve been following my stuff at all to this point, you know I’m very high on the Buccos rookie right-hander who has done nothing but impress to become one of the favorites (+375) to take home the NL Rookie of the Year Award. His control has been stupendous (1.1 BB/9) while his stuff has been obnoxious (11.4 K/9) evidenced by ranking in the top-5 at Pitcher List in fastball velocity, swinging strike percentage, and called strikes + whiffs.
Chicago’s offense continues to struggle with Seiya Suzuki and Cody Bellinger out of the mix. It also rates in the middle of the pack in K rate (22.9%) and has never seen Jones’ wicked 4-seamer/slider arsenal. They will tonight, and I firmly expect it to be a long evening for the Northsiders.

Los Angeles Dodgers vs. San Diego Padres MLB Same Game Parlay:
A Friday night in Petco with the NL West rival Dodgers and Padres kicking off a three-game weekend set – does it get any better than that?! While Los Angeles holds a comfy 5-game lead atop the standings at the time of this writing, I’ve really liked what I’ve seen out of San Diego’s offense of late. Though it’s only amounted to a 4-3 record for their wagering supporters, the Friars have clobbered the baseball over the last week in averaging a healthy 6.3 runs per game.
Tonight will be a huge litmus test for Michael King who will square off against Tyler Glasnow knowing full well that he got peppered the two times he threw at Mookie Betts and co. earlier this season (10 hits (5 HR) and 7 ER allowed with a 9:5 K/BB ratio). For one reason or another, he’s failed to take advantage of the extreme advantage pitchers normally own in his home ball park. That stops tonight! San Diego is playing too confident a brand of ball to be installed an underdog of the magnitude Caesars linemakers will install them tonight. All the value will reside on the home team, and we’ll back them confidently and expect this to be one of the 60 or so games LA loses this season.

Cincinnati Reds vs. San Francisco Giants MLB Same Game Parlay:
If you want to make money betting the MLB odds every week, all you have to do is check to see where Logan Webb is pitching for his next start. If it’s on the road, like it was this past Sunday when we rode the Phillies on Sunday Night Baseball, you’re going to want to fade him. But when the right-hander is within the friendly confines of Oracle Park, you’re going to want to take a flier on San Francisco’s staff ace. His contrasting performance at home versus away games is quite telling, and you can leverage this information to your advantage almost every week!
On the road, Webb is a .500 pitcher with a 4.20 ERA. At home, the dude is a Hall of Famer with a 2.64 ERA that’s allowed him to accrue a 26-16 overall record through 56 career starts. Cincinnati’s offense has fallen off a cliff over the last week with it averaging a paltry 2.3 runs per game leading to losses in six of its last seven games. It also hasn’t won a series by the Bay since 2019, and I don’t foresee this one getting off on the right foot with the Giants No. 1 arm toeing the bump.
