New York Mets vs. Philadelphia Phillies MLB Same Game Parlay:

The Mets are on quite the heater right now having cashed in against the MLB odds 11 of the last 13 times the team stepped between the lines. In doing so, New York has leapfrogged the Braves for the third and final wild-card slot in the National League. Now eight-games in back of the front running Phillies, it’s highly likely Carlos Mendoza’s troops don’t have it in them to steal the NL East pennant away. Easier said than done however with left-hander Jose Quintana on the bump for the series opener regardless of how locked in the southpaw has been in recent starts.

Since getting blasted by the Orioles for eight hits (2 HR) and 7 ER through five innings, Quintana has only been gotten for 15 hits and 1 ER with a 12:5 K/BB ratio over his last three starts (18 IP) by the Padres, White Sox, and Reds. However, those three teams rank out amongst the bottom third of the league against left-handed pitching. Tonight will be a much tougher task with Philadelphia ranked No. 2 overall (.276) and No. 1 overall (.313) over the last 30 days. The lefty has been at his worst on the road (4.20 ERA) and under the lights (5.03 ERA), and has already been had for 10 hits and 5 ER by Kyle Schwarber and Co. through a pair of 2024 starts. Aaron Nola enters start No. 30 coming off his seventh loss of the season, and will be throwing with a chip on his shoulder against a Mets lineup he threw a complete game shutout at back in mid-May. CBP will be rocking and the Phillies will be tough to beat!

Chicago Cubs vs. Colorado Rockies MLB Same Game Parlay:

The Chicago Cubs are currently fighting for their playoff lives with the team sitting 4-games out in the wild-card race and only 17 games remaining on the docket. After winning the series in Tinseltown against the Dodgers earlier this week, Chicago has a golden opportunity to claw into that deficit over the next 10 days. It must start tonight in the series opener against the Rockies with the next two series scheduled to come at home against the A’s and Nationals. The Phillies clock in as the only winning team versus the baseball betting lines the Cubs will face to close out the year. With that, taking care of business against each and every one of these teams playing out the string is of utmost importance.

The start immediately after, he lasted just three innings against the Dodgers who got him for five hits (2 HR) and 3 ER. Each and every time the lefty has gone at least seven innings this season (5 times), he served up at least 4 ER and 1 HR in the following outing. Chicago is ripping LHP to the tune of a .299 average (#2), .342 OBP (#3), and .707 OPS (#10) over the last 2+ weeks. The Cubs hang a crooked number tonight and do so by reaching the cheap seats multiple times!
