MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions – Saturday, July 15
July 14, 20232023 College Football National Championship Odds and Picks
July 17, 2023Last Monday’s MLB Same Game Parlays went 1-2 over at BetRivers Sportsbook but would’ve had a winning night had the Orioles been able to hold onto an early 3-0 lead. We swung and missed backing the Cardinals in Miami after the Fish pulled out yet another late comeback win. That team is something else in their home digs! Thankfully the night closed out with a win on the Mariners who erupted in the ninth to score the 6-5 win. Bryan Woo churned out another quality effort and will be an arm we back a ton in the second half of the season. Let’s kick off a brand new week by adding to the bankroll with some parlay picks – SLAM YOUR MAN!!

Detroit Tigers vs. Kansas City Royals
Matt Manning is one of the few pitchers we know is locked into a start for Monday’s baseball betting action at the time of this writing. I faded the right-hander the last time he took the bump at home against Toronto and paid for it dearly after he and the Tigers pen no-hit the Blue Jays. It was a shocking turn of events, but one that still doesn’t change my mind about the 25-year old. He’s nothing special. The heater topped out at 93 mph. The slider is unpredictable while the curve is league average. Even against a Kansas City offense that leaves much to be desired with it ranked amongst the bottom third of the league in every important stat category, I have no faith that the righty will be able to keep Salvador Perez and co. in check. In the four made starts before tossing 6.2 miraculous innings of shutout ball at the Jays, Manning had conceded 20 hits (4 HR) and 12 ER with a K/BB ratio of 15:7 through 22.1 total innings. I’ll pay up to see if he can do it again!

Minnesota Twins vs. Seattle Mariners
I have absolutely zero idea who Minnesota will march to the bump for the opener of this three-game set with the Mariners considering nothing is currently listed for this weekend’s clash with the A’s. Either way, it doesn’t matter to me in the grand scheme of things as I very much so liked what I saw from the M’s heading into the break with Scott Servais’ troops collecting wins in seven of their final nine played games to claw a game over .500. Fingers crossed it’s Bryan Woo that gets the call after Castillo and Kirby kicked off the second half against the Tigers. If so, I’ll gladly lay the home chalk on the MLB odds with the right-hander at his absolute best at home (2.53 ERA) as well as at night (2.20 ERA) all the while allowing just 28 hits (4 HR) and 14 ER overall while racking up a 43:9 K/BB ratio through 34.2 total innings of work. He’ll be in line for another inflated strikeout tally here throwing at a Twinkies offense with the highest K percentage in the game (26.8%). Should it come to pass, it’ll have him in line to log a third straight quality start.

New York Yankees vs. Los Angeles Angels
I’m giving the Halos one last chance before I give up all hope of ever seeing Shohei Ohtani and Mike Trout compete with one another in the postseason. If Los Angeles fails to get out to a fast start to the second half, you can’t help but think upper management seriously considers sending the Japanese import to a contender with the goal of completely rebuilding the franchise with the haul brought back in return. Should it take the opening series versus the Astros, they’ll be in an excellent position to take two straight series with the injury-riddled Yankees paying them a visit on the west coast. New York has been the definition of mediocre with Aaron Judge out of the equation having failed to log a series win in three straight, so the opportunity will be there for the Angels to get out to a hot start. I figure it’ll either be Patrick Sandoval or Griffin Canning that gets the starting nod for this one, and I’m cool with either considering how impotent NY’s offense has been recently against everyone but the A’s. Should it be Domingo German or Luis Severino that goes for the visitors, I expect LA to hang a crooked number to take the opener with ease.
