MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions – Friday, June 21
June 20, 2024MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions – Saturday, June 22
June 21, 2024Off an exhilarating day to close out the prior week, we kicked off the next one by splitting Monday’s MLB parlay picks to take home a small profit. I nailed both moneylines on the Pirates and Red Sox, but neither Paul Skenes nor Nick Pivetta allowed us to cash in on their player props. Both got out to hot starts to put us in a position to cash the over of both K props at Caesars Sportsbook, but each failed to log a single out via a strikeout in their final innings of work. I hate when I get teased! Let’s see if the baseball gods allow for us to see everything all the way through with another Monday installment of same game parlay legs – SLAM YOUR MAN!!

Toronto Blue Jays vs. Boston Red Sox MLB Same Game Parlay:
If you’ve been following my MLB parlay recommendations for the last month, you’ll know that Tanner Houck has played a large role in us taking it to the man during that stretch. This season will go down in the history books as the right-hander’s breakout campaign with the right-hander standing 7-5 with a 2.14 ERA backed by an even more impressive 2.21 FIP. While only averaging 8.8 K, he’s also only allowed 1.6 walks, 0.2 home runs, and 7.2 hits per nine innings pitched. Since taking three straight losses to the Twins, Nationals, and Rays through mid-April, Houck has led Boston to wins in each of his last six starts logging personal dubs against the closing MLB odds three times. He just threw at the Blue Jays in Toronto last Tuesday and came an out short of tossing a quality start with six hits and 2 ER allowed.
While he got hit around a bit more than I would’ve like to see and issued those two free passes, I have no issue backing him in the rematch with Chris Bassitt regardless of the Blue Jays’ right-hander experiencing loads of success within Fenway over two career starts. He’s 2-0 with a 1.93 ERA and .130 batting average against with the Green Monster behind him, but the Red Sox offense has been ripping the cover off the ball to the tune of 6.4 runs per game over the last week. They also just saw his myriad of stuff earlier last week, so they’ll know exactly what to expect this time around. I’d come away extremely surprised if he reached the sixth inning and only conceded a pair of earned runs in round two!

Atlanta Braves vs. St. Louis Cardinals MLB Same Game Parlay:
As dominant the Braves have been in their own ball park cashing tickets for MLB bettors on 24 of 37 occasions (-$37), Brian Snitker’s troops have been nothing if not a middling ball club when on the road sitting a game under .500 overall (-$573). Even with what’s been a locked in Max Fried on the starting bump, I’ll be fading Atlanta as road chalk in what will be the left-hander’s 15th start of the baseball betting season. Since logging masterful outings against the Cubs, Nationals, and Red Sox in which he allowed just 14 hits and 3 ER over 24 combined innings, the southpaw has failed to pitch through the sixth inning in each of his last two starts against the Orioles and Tigers whom he conceded 10 hits, 5 ER and 5 BB to through 10.1 innings.
Though St. Louis has been nothing short of wretched against LHP to date in batting .214 with a .605 OPS (#29), it’s still gone 12-9 in those matchups and returned $170 worth of baseball betting profit. The Redbirds have been at their absolute best when in front of the hometown faithful (17-15), which isn’t saying much, but they’ll be catching a nice price here with the erratic Lance Lynn on the mound which makes the home team worth taking a beer money flier on. The righty has been known to come out of nowhere and churn out a dominant showing, so fingers crossed it occurs here tonight against a Braves team that will be laying an inflated price due to coming out victorious in six of their previous seven games at the time of this writing.
