MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions – Saturday, June 24
June 23, 2023MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions – Sunday, June 25
June 23, 2023Last Monday’s MLB Same Game Parlays failed to kick the week off positively over at BetRivers Sportsbook! Though we cashed the first SGP of the evening after the Marlins crushed Jose Berrios and the Blue Jays, it was all downhill from there with neither of the other two investments cashing in. I’m still in shock over how terrible Corbin Burnes was in his showdown with Merrill Kelly and the D’backs. Zona plated six in the first inning to waltz to the 9-1 victory. Then of course, the White Sox had no answer for Andrew Heaney and failed to cash either leg of the parlay. Let’s kick off a brand new week by adding to the bankroll with some parlay picks on tonight’s abbreviated slate – SLAM YOUR MAN!!
Bet Major League Baseball at BetRivers Sportsbook
Cincinnati Reds vs. Baltimore Orioles
It pains my heart to do this considering how invested I am in the Reds excelling, I have no choice but to back the home standing Orioles in the opener of this interleague set. I’m starting to think Kyle Bradish is an arm MLB bettors best start paying attention to. Since logging a 6.14 ERA through four May starts, the righty has shown marked improvement by racking up the strikeouts and exhibiting fantastic control. Enough to the point that he’s logging 3.33 K/BB with his 3.65 FIP better than his 3.88 ERA.
With heavy positive regression in order, it’s likely to occur tonight against a Cincinnati squad that just wrapped up a huge litmus test series with the Atlanta Braves. While the offense has been tremendous and the bullpen looks improved, the ‘Natti still has major issues within its starting rotation that ranks No. 28 overall. Brandon Williamson hasn’t helped matters with his 5.40 ERA and 1.391 WHIP. The kids serving up 2.0 long balls per start, and the O’s are raking southpaws for 5.2 runs per game (No. 9) and .758 OPS. Baltimore peppers him and takes the opener with ease!

Minnesota Twins vs. Atlanta Braves
This one won’t be for the faint of heart with the Braves trotting their staff ace to the bump with the expectation of taking the series lead. Though Spencer Strider clocks in as the No. 3 ranked arm at Pitcher List, the right-handed strikeout artist has been having an extremely rough go of it in the month of June. Through four starts, he’s allowed 26 hits and a whopping 16 ER through 21.0 total innings of work. The Twins went into the weekend off taking the final two games of the extended series with the Red Sox. The offense is the healthiest it’s been in quite some time, and RHP is the preferred platoon split with Carlos Correa and co. averaging 4.5 runs per game (No. 13) as opposed to 3.4 against lefties (No. 28).
Though a .500 squad, the Twins just took back the catbird seat in the AL Central and I expect them to fight tooth and nail to hold onto the positioning. With veteran Sonny Gray on the bump, look for Minnesota to let it be known it won’t just roll over and die against a Braves team coming off a high energy series with the Reds. Classic letdown spot here for the home team – take advantage!

Detroit Tigers vs. Texas Rangers
We’ll attach our wagon to another hefty road underdog for the third and final MLB same game parlay at BetRivers by implementing a fade of the home based Rangers. The regression monster looks to have paid Nathan Eovaldi a visit in the month of June with the veteran not nearly as dominant or effective as he was through the first two months of the baseball betting season. The right-hander was consistently throwing in the seventh inning throughout a bulk of May, but he’s only pitched through the seventh once through four June starts. On top of that, his velocity is way down on his 4-seamer and cutter and it’s resulted in him giving up 17 hits and 11 ER through 19.1 IP of his last three starts. Opposing offenses have been squaring him up.
That bodes well for Detroit who has been swinging hot sticks over the last week in averaging 5+ runs per game. That’s pretty darn good for a unit that’s averaged less than 3.8 runs per game for the season! Though Matthew Boyd is the owner of a 5.37 ERA, he’s led the Tigers to wins in each of his last two starts and has been a completely different pitcher when throwing away from Comerica Park. This is another classic letdown spot that must be taken advantage of with Eovaldi regressing and the ‘Gers coming off an intense series in the Bronx!
