UFL Betting – Week 7 Parlay Picks
May 9, 2024MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions – Sunday, May 12
May 10, 2024We kicked last week off by cashing two of three Monday night same game parlay picks. Jack Flaherty didn’t deserve to take the loss after tossing six innings of 2 ER ball at the Guardians with 6 K. Regardless, we got that unit back and some in the Brewers/Royals matchup after the 3-2 final score combined for an easy under and Cole Ragans did just enough to exceed his total outs recorded prop. The night was then closed out by Shota Imanaga and the Cubs who walked the low scorer off in the ninth after he threw another seven innings of 2 ER ball with 8 K to earn Chicago its lone win of the series against San Diego. Let’s kick off another week in the black by cashing more parlay legs over at Caesars Sportsbook – SLAM YOUR MAN!!
Bet Major League Baseball at Caesars Sportsbook
Chicago Cubs vs. Atlanta Braves Same Game Parlay:
Not only is Shota Imanaga the frontrunner to win the NL Rookie of the Year award (+175) at Caesars, but the Cubs phenom has now thrown his hat into the NL Cy Young Award discussion. His odds to win top honors opened 40-1, was bet down to 18-1 after getting out to a 5-0 start, and then moved to 8-1 after most recently tossing seven more innings of 2 ER ball in a no-decision effort against the Friars. The Japanese import enters start No. 8 the owner of a miniscule 1.08 ERA and .187 batting average against with 43 K and only five issued walks. And to think he’s doing all this damage with a sub 92 mph 4-seamer and splitter that’s had opposing batting lineups baffled since day one. Shota’s averaging 8.3 K/BB and just over 6.0 hits per nine innings!
His opponent in the opener of this series with the Braves, Reynaldo Lopez, has also gotten out to a ridiculous start to his 2024 campaign in going 2-1 with a 1.53 ERA and .205 BAA. However, his 3.05 FIP is nearly a run and a half higher and he’s also putting an average of 3.6 runners on base per nine via the walk. With Cody Bellinger already back in the mix and Seiya Suzuki expected to return over the weekend, Chicago’s offense will finally start putting runs on the board once again. I expect them to get a fair share tonight and propel Shota to his sixth win against an Atlanta outfit that’s shown cracks in the foundation in recent weeks.

Los Angeles Dodgers vs. San Francisco Giants Same Game Parlay:
The luster of the start Jordan Hicks got out to is wearing out. After going 1-0 with a 1.86 ERA and allowing only 18 hits and 6 ER through 29.0 April innings, the right-hander has served up 11 hits and 5 ER with an 8:6 K/BB ratio through a pair of May starts against the Phillies and Rockies. His inability to get batters out via the strikeout leads me to believe he’s best suited to be a long relief arm out of the bullpen and nothing more. He’s not a starter in my honest opinion. This belief is further substantiated by him logging a lone quality start in all but one of his last five trips to the bump. San Francisco has only come out on top in one of his last five starts with it coming last time out in Coors where hew only went five innings and allowed seven hits and 3 ER with a 5:2 K/BB ratio.
Things however look to be coming together nicely for Yoshinobu Yamamoto who’s gone at least six innings in four straight starts, and enters start No. 9 off his deepest penetration after tossing eight innings of 2 ER ball with no walks allowed to the Marlins. In his last three starts and 20 innings pitched, the righty has allowed just 14 hits (2 HR) and 2 ER with a 17:3 K/BB ratio. With this being the first time the Giants underperforming offense will run up against his stuff and LA cashing in on the MLB odds by multiple runs in three of his last four starts, we’ll take the reduced price on the run-line and expect the Dodgers to improve upon their 21-18 ($160) record in that betting market.
