MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions – Monday, June 12
June 9, 2023MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions – Sunday, June 11
June 9, 2023We swept the board with last Saturday’s MLB Same Game Parlays at BetRivers Sportsbook! Our SGP in the Mariners/Rangers matchup got scratched due to Marco Gonzales going on the IL right before the Texas bats would’ve ripped him a new one. The ‘Gers still went out and destroyed the stiff that took his place to easily surpass their team total. Thankfully Cristian Javier surpassed his pitching outs prop with the Astros handling the Halos with ease. Closing the night out was a solid 2-leg parlay cash with the Yanks on the -1 run-line paired with the over of their team total. Jake Bauers almost singlehandedly got us there – thanks Jake! Here’s to the baseball gods smiling down upon today’s parlay picks as well – SLAM YOUR MAN!!

Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Detroit Tigers
Though the Tigers have played their best brand of ball in front of the hometown faithful, I’m fading Matthew Boyd in this matchup against Snakes’ ace Zac Gallen. Though the D’backs right-hander hasn’t seen the seventh inning in any of his last four starts after going 7+ in four of his first nine starts, he departed his last start against the Braves positioned to log the win after giving up nine hits but only 2 ER through his six innings of work. The effort marked the second straight in which he logged a quality start upping his overall quality start percentage to 62%. He’s gone for six or more strikeouts in his last two turns and will be in a position to exceed his K prop against the free-swingin’ Tigers and their 24.3 percent K rate (No. 23).
Detroit ranks No. 26 in the quality starts department and one of the reasons why has been Matthew Boyd and his piss-poor nine percent output. The left-hander stands 3-4 with a 5.57 ERA but is only serving up 8.4 hits per nine and is striking out 2.41 batters per walk. That being said, he’s a six-inning pitcher at best and Detroit has only come out on top in one of his five home starts where his ERA clocks in at a robust 8.34 while allowing the opposition to tee off on him to the tune of a .301 batting average against.

Texas Rangers vs. Tampa Bay Rays
The Rangers will be laying road chalk in the Trop on the MLB odds and I’m all for it! One simply can’t ignore the job Nathan Eovaldi has done since the end of April at the ripe age of 33. Over his last seven starts and 52.2 IP, the veteran has conceded a grand total of 4 ER and racked up an insane 46:9 K/BB ratio all the while logging quality starts in all but one of those outings. While the Rays offense is no joke, Eovaldi has been at his absolute best on the road where he’s 5-1 with a 1.49 ERA, 0.95 WHIP, and .212 BAA. Routinely going over 100 pitches during this hot streak, only 87 were thrown last time out and he was lifted after the sixth. That should have him a bit fresher for this stress test.
Taj Bradley treated us right earlier in the week in Boston where he tossed five innings of 2 ER ball with 6 K to help lead us to a series ticket cash with the Rays. However, he still offered up three walks and his stuff wasn’t as solid as it had been in prior starts. The Rangers sit 14-games over .500 against RHP whom they average 6.1 run per game against. With Texas owning the advantage on the bump as well as in the pen, it’ll be tough for Tampa to hang if Bradley gets rung up out of the gate or is forced to exit early. If the ‘Gers are to have any shot of passing this litmus test, this is the game they must put in the win column with McClanahan going Sunday.

Boston Red Sox vs. New York Yankees
The Yankees reward for going on the road and taking series from both the Mariners and Dodgers was yet another IL stint for Aaron Judge. This is the reigning AL MVP’s second of the season and his absence will be felt dramatically over the course of this weekend set with the hated rival Red Sox. Domingo German was brilliant his last time out in Tinseltown where he held the Dodgers to four hits (1 HR) and 1 ER while striking out six and only walking one through 6.2 innings. His curve will have to be electric once again tonight as readily able Boston has been at knocking the cover off the ball against his other two most widely used pitches in the 4-seamer and change.
The BoSox will be installed underdogs on the MLB odds with Tanner Houck and his bloated 5.46 ERA taking the hill. Not much has been overly impressive about the youngster through his first 11 starts with the righty serving up 8.6 hits, 1.1 home runs, and 3.3 walks per nine innings. However, he’s only allowed 55 hits through 57.2 total IP and his FIP is 1.5 runs lower than his ERA which means positive regression should find him soon. Fingers crossed he curbs the walks and helps put his teammate in a position to log a sorely needed series triumph.
