June 26, 2024MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions – Sunday, June 30
June 27, 2024We ended up splitting last Saturday’s MLB parlay picks largely due to expected starting pitchers having their starts either pushed back or cancelled. Chris Paddack hit the IL due to a throwing arm issue which made his player prop and the full game under no action. Unfortunately, J.P. Sears stunk out loud in amassing a total of four outs before getting the hook after getting ripped for nine hits (1 HR) and 8 ER – insert puke emoji! With Spencer Arrighetti getting his next start pushed back to the following week, my plays on the Orioles run-line, over the team total, and his player prop were cancelled at Caesars Sportsbook. Thankfully Corbin Burnes managed to tally 21 outs even though he took the loss after allowing five hits (2 HR) and 4 ER to fall to 8-2 for the year. Here’s to all the expected starters actually pitching in this Saturday’s installment of parlay leg recommendations – SLAM YOUR MAN!!

New York Yankees vs. Toronto Blue Jays MLB Same Game Parlay:
Chris Bassitt has a decent history of keeping the Yankees’ bats in check. Through four career starts, the right-hander has been able to hold the pinstripes to 18 hits (1 HR) and only 3 ER allowed with a 31:6 K/BB ratio through 27.0 total innings. For one reason or another, New York has simply been able to figure out his mixed bag of tricks. Back in April, he bested Luis Gil and picked up a win after tossing 6.1 innings of 1 ER ball with 5 K. However this time around, I fully expect the Yankees to touch him up now that Aaron Judge and his mates have found their offensive stroke with the team averaging 5+ runs per game (#4) and launching the league’s second most home runs into the cheap seats (117).
The sinker, cutter, and curve are the three most heavily used pitch types in Bassitt’s arsenal. Juan Soto and a number of his teammates sport impressive run values against that pitch type per Baseball Savant. Same goes for the cutter and curve. Bassitt has been his most hittable at home (.270 BAA), and the Blue Jays have dropped each of his last four starts against the closing MLB odds. With the Yankees fighting tooth and nail with Baltimore for AL East bragging rights and Toronto on the verge of pressing the implosion button, look for the Bronx Bombers to erupt for a crooked tally and take years of frustration out on the BJ’s junkballer.

Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Atlanta Braves MLB Same Game Parlay:
A month into the regular season, Max Fried offered up an attractive 36-1 return on investment to win the NL Cy Young Award at Caesars. Fast forward to the end of June, and the left-hander is duking it out with Zack Wheeler, Tyler Glasnow, Ranger Suarez, and Chris Sale as a 9-1 dog. With Spencer Strider’s season cut short, it can be said that Fried has been the saving grace for the Atlanta Braves with the southpaw leading the team to wins in 11 of 15 starts to amass a 7-3 record and 3.00 ERA with an 80:27 K/BB. Though not his absolute best at home (3.19 ERA) or in day games (3,86 ERA), I simply don’t envision a Buccos team that’s struggled against LHP to the tune of a .238 batting average (#18) while averaging just 3.4 runs per game over the last week hanging a crooked number. Fried has surrendered two or fewer earned runs in five of his last six trips to the bump!
Like his counterpart, Paul Skenes has made an eye-opening jump in the NL Rookie of the Year Award race. Since offering up odds to take home bragging rights as high as 35-1 a week into the regular season, the Pirates rookie right-hander is now the runaway -210 leader in the clubhouse having raced past Shota Imanaga (+750) and teammate Jared Jones (+4000) after getting the call to the Bigs in early May. Since then, the righty has only allowed 38 hits (5 HR) and 11 ER through 46.1 innings of work. Most importantly, he’s tallied a 33.7% K rate and gone for 8+ in four of his last five starts. Running up against a free-swinging Braves batting lineup that goes down on strikes at a 23.5% clip overall (#20) and 27.7% clip over the last week, look for No. 30 to be amped for his first career start against Atlanta and hang a crooked number in start No. 9.
