UFL Betting – Week 4 Parlay Picks
April 18, 2024MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions – Monday, April 22
April 19, 2024As another thrilling week of navigating the tumultuous waters of MLB odds draws to a close, we find ourselves poised for Sunday’s action-packed lineup at Caesars Sportsbook looking to add to the bottom line. With a solid track record of wins in recent days, we’re poised to conclude the week on a high note with some parlay leg recommendations in a number of games I expect keeps us in the black – SLAM YOUR MAN!!
Bet Major League Baseball at Caesars Sportsbook
Milwaukee Brewers vs. St. Louis Cardinals
If you’ve followed my parlay picks for the first two games of this series, the expectation is that Sunday’s rubber match will decide the winner of this series after we rode Freddy Peralta on Friday night and reversed course with Miles Mikolas Saturday afternoon. The ramifications of this game’s outcome are huge for a Cardinals team that looks to be waking up from its early-season slumber by winning its third series of the baseball betting season in Oakland earlier in the week. A series win over the front-running Brew Crew could be just what the doctor ordered to get this underperforming team back on the right track.
Colin Rea doesn’t bring much to the table to get excited about, and I don’t think he’ll continue getting away with it much longer. His 4.16 FIP is nearly 1.5-runs higher than his 2.70 ERA, and his defense ranks 19th in the error department. It’s only a matter of time until the righty gets lit up with his 9.2 hits allowed per nine innings yet to affect his overall counting stats. St. Louis likely doesn’t have the offense to do it as rough a go it’s had against right-handed pitching in averaging 3.5 runs per game (#25). Veteran right-hander Sonny Gray has held his own through two turns limiting the Phillies and A’s to 9 hits, 0 ER and perfect 11:0 K/BB ratio over two starts. With my expectation that negative regression continues hitting what I deem to be a highly overachieving Milwaukee outfit, I expect the veteran to be in a position to log the quality start and lead St. Louis to the must-have series win.

Seattle Mariners vs. Colorado Rockies
The M’s could be in a position to bust out the brooms Sunday afternoon in the thin air of the Mile High City when they send George Kirby to the bump to make his fifth start of the season. Should that come to fruition, it would mean Scott Servais’ troops will have won six straight after sweeping the Cincinnati Reds out of T-Mobile Park earlier in the week. While Seattle’s offense has shown signs of coming around, it still looks to be stuck in neutral on paper with it ranking out below average in runs scored (#27), batting average (#26) and OPS (#25) with its running game almost non-existent evidenced by stealing a grand total of eight bases (#24).
That being said, Julio Rodriguez’s bat woke up against Cincy which proved to be a key factor in the Mariners sweeping the series. He and his mates will get the benefit of staring back at the unintimidating presence of Cal Quantrill in the finale. Colorado’s righty has been peppered for 10.7 hits per nine and sports an ugly 1.6 K/BB ratio. While he’s had some success against the Mariners current lineup in the past, I’ll pay up to see if he can mimic it in Coors and match Kirby’s dominant stuff. My guess is he’ll fail to do it and do so without putting up much of a fight. If the switch has in fact been flipped in Seattle, this is a spot the Mariners should relish and take full advantage of.

Arizona Diamondbacks vs. San Francisco Giants
It hasn’t been a start to the season the defending NL champs would’ve liked with the Snakes sitting a game under .500 heading into Thursday night’s series opener in San Francisco. That being said, Torey Lovullo’s squad had no business dropping the opener to the Cubs on Monday night. Had that not occurred, the D’backs would’ve invaded the Bay winners of three straight per the closing series MLB betting odds. With both squads’ aces lined up to throw over the next four days, Zona has been lined short +115 dogs to win this series away from Chase Field.
A potential pitcher’s duel could play out in the finale with Merrill Kelly set to square off against Jordan Hicks with the latter rewarding the Giants who took the chance of inserting him into their starting rotation. It’s amounted to 23 innings and a total of 4 ER with 16 K and only 6 BB. Most importantly, San Francisco won three of his four made starts. However, the righty has been incredibly reliant upon his devastating sinker to get the job done and that pitch type is one the Snakes have smashed with their big four of Christian Walker, Ketel Marte, Lourdes Gurriel Jr., and Corbin Carroll each possessing positive run value against the pitch per Baseball Savant. Kelly on the other hand has been extremely consistent utilizing his full arsenal of pitches hurling to a 2.19 ERA while conceding two or fewer earned runs in all four starts. I believe this will be a redemption day for Hicks who will get hooked early and be forced to watch his teammates go down in defeat from the clubhouse.
