Baltimore Ravens Season Win Total Odds, Pick & Prediction
June 30, 2023MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions – Monday, July 3
June 30, 2023We ended up going 1-2 with last Sunday’s MLB Same Game Parlays at PointsBet Sportsbook. The day started off with a tough loss on Marcus Stroman and the Cubs with the former visibly affected by the blister that bounced him from the start early. Though Charlie Morton went on to exceed his walk prop as expected, the Reds came up just short of taking the series from the Braves after falling 7-6 in the finale. Bailey Ober helped us recoup some of those losses by registering 8 K before the Twins went on to cover the run-line in extras. Let’s close the week in the green with some more parlay picks – SLAM YOUR MAN!!

Miami Marlins vs. Atlanta Braves
So I faded Spencer Strider earlier in the week against Minnesota and he bossed his way to the impressive win over the Twins with another 10 K. I also suggested hitting the F5 under in Sandy Alcantara’s start in Beantown thinking he’d come out firing after getting taken to task by Toronto in his previous start. I was correct in betting the over of his pitching outs prop after he ended up tossing seven innings of 1 ER ball at the Red Sox. Unfortunately, the Marlins peppered Garrett Whitlock right from the word go to blow the under out of the water. I’ll be looking to recoup both of those losses in this matchup and once again target the under in the first half with each starting pitcher looking to one-up the other in this heavyweight pitching bout. This will be Alcantara’s third look at the Braves offense after giving up 10 hits and 5 ER with an 11:11 K/BB ratio through 10.2 IP in the first two. He’s done a much better job limiting walks recently which should limit Atlanta’s ability to get to him if the trend continues. Strider threw eight shutout innings at the Fish with a season-high 13 K in his lone appearance against Miami at the end of April. If excellent Sandy shows up in back-to-back starts, this will be a must-see pitching clinic!

Detroit Tigers vs. Colorado Rockies
I’m still in shock over Connor Seabold throwing at the Dodgers earlier this week and living to tell about it. The right-hander only allowed five hits (1 HR) and walked one batter. This a start removed from getting ripped for nine hits (4 HR) and 9 ER against the Braves in Atlanta 10 days prior. Maybe the extended rest had something to do with the flukish performance. Bottom line, the dude is serving up a whopping 10.2 hits per nine innings and backing it up with just 2.3 K/BB. His ERA clocks in at an absurd 9.50 in day games in which he’s served up nine of the 12 overall home runs he’s allowed. While Detroit hardly possesses a murderer’s row offensively, it’s starting to hang some crooked numbers and this spot looks to be as ripe as any for that to occur once again. Though Matt Manning looked pretty good against the Rangers in his first MLB start since early April, the Coors effect likely won’t be kind with the righty walking 3.6 per nine and throwing at a healthy Rockies offense that prefers RHP to LHP.

Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Los Angeles Angels
I’m hesitantly going to get involved with another Angels game to close out Sunday’s slate even though Shohei Ohtani and co. have been a death knell to my MLB betting bankroll all season long. I simply can’t resist with Zac Gallen set to square off against Reid Detmers who you’ll remember I had a man crush on earlier in the year before things started to click. Well, they’re clicking in a big way now with the soon to be 24-year old seemingly in a groove having allowed just 18 hits (2 HR) and 7 ER while racking up a 36:10 K/BB ratio over five June starts. He’s gone seven innings in each of his last two outings and conceded one or fewer earned runs in each of his last four. Though Gallen gave up 4 ER in his last start to the Rays, his two prior starts against the Brewers and Guardians saw the righty only give up a grand total of 2 ER. Both of these starting pitchers are locked in right now which leads me to believe runs are incredibly tough to come by in the finale of this interleague showdown.
