MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions – Monday, July 8
July 5, 2024CFB Futures – 2024 Clemson Tigers Win Total Odds
July 8, 2024It was a brutal close to the week for my MLB parlay picks after churning out a 1-4 showing last Sunday. Mind you, not all expected pitchers ended up throwing, but I still recommended backing the Cubs on Twitter (@MikeRose77) even though Kyle Hendricks made the start instead of Justin Steele. Things looked decent through four, and then the Brew Crew erupted for seven unanswered runs and the rest was history. We needed one more run scored by Boston and one more earned run given up by Matt Waldron in a game Tanner Houck didn’t even start. Frustrating! Fingers crossed all starting pitchers actually go this Sunday, and we get back some of the units lost to BetMGM Sportsbook – SLAM YOUR MAN!!

Kansas City Royals vs. Colorado Rockies MLB Same Game Parlay:
I’m still scratching my head trying to figure out how Ryan Feltner only allowed six hits and 1 ER to the Milwaukee Brewers earlier this week. My bankroll was none too pleased with the showing considering I went all-in on the over of that matchup with the right-hander squaring off against Dallas Keuchel. I’ll just chalk it up to baseball. It’s a weird sport with a vast amount of stats accrued daily. Sometimes the baseball gods simply just smile on you. It won’t happen today against Kansas City however with the Royals slipping and knowing full well it must take as many games like these against opponents like the bottom feeding Rockies to stick in the Wild Card race with it looking like the Cleveland Guardians will ultimately run away with the AL Central pennant.
As it stands right now, Matt Quatraro’s squad sits 8-games out in the division and a half-game out of the third and final AL wild card slot after disturbingly dropping two of three at home to the Tampa Bay Rays. The series defeat came as quite the disappointment after rising up to take three of four from the Guardians in the previous series. Though he only conceded three hits and 1 ER in his five innings thrown at the Rays earlier this week, Brady Singer ended up taking the fifth loss of his 2024 campaign which has seen the righty go winless dating back to May 19. It’s high time he got back on his horse and tallied a dub! Look for the offense to put him in a position to do just that with Salvador Perez and company one of the best in the game at ripping the cover off the ball against sliders and changeups per Baseball Savant. If Feltner can’t find the zone with his 4-seamer, it’ll be curtains – Quick!

Toronto Blue Jays vs. Seattle Mariners MLB Same Game Parlay:
Don’t look now, but what was once a comfortable lead atop the AL West standings has been chiseled all the way down to two games for a Seattle Mariners squad that continues to take on water. You have to go back to the middle of June to find the last time Scott Servais’ troops ended up winning a series with it just dropping two of three to the Orioles at home to fall to 48-41 overall ($106). My bankroll already suffered backing them earlier this week when George Kirby was outdueled by Grayson Rodriguez in what played to a 2-0 defeat. Though the offense failed to show up, Kirby still did his thing for us by cashing in on his ER prop.
The showing made it seven straight that the right-hander has allowed two or fewer earned runs. Seattle stands 5-2 versus the closing MLB odds in those outings, and I fully expect the Mariners to show up today in the finale against a Toronto outfit whose season is likely already over with it 16-games back in the AL East and 8.5-games out in the AL Wild Card chase. While Kirby has been at his best in the comforts of T-Mobile Park (2.40 ERA), Jose Berrios has been extremely unreliable on the road (4.38 ERA) with the Blue Jays going down in defeat five of the last six times the righty toed an opposing bump. Though he’s held current sticks likely to step into the box against him today to a .179 batting average against, I fully expect Kirby to take it upon himself and lead the Mariners to a much-needed win in the finale.
