Miami Marlins vs. Washington Nationals

What a roller coaster of a season it’s been for left-hander Jesus Luzardo. He seems to alternate stellar outings with absolute duds, and will enter start No. 15 off a dud after getting ripped for six hits (1 HR) and 5 ER through four innings in Seattle Monday night. Over his last six starts, Luzardo has been ripped for 5+ earned runs three times and followed two of those outings with 1 ER showings against the Angels and Royals. Washington is pretty much on par with the latter with it ranked No. 23 in scoring offense (4.2 RPG), but it has been pretty decent versus LHP evidenced by its .780 OPS (No. 6). That being said, the Nats’ bats have disappeared over the last week with it averaging just 3.3 runs per game and Luzardo has already thrown six innings of five hit and 1 ER ball against them earlier this season. He also tallied 7 K which is very impressive considering Washington sports a 19 percent K rate against southpaws. Major bounceback spot!

SAME GAME MLB PARLAY: MARLINS MONEYLINE + LUZARDO OVER PITCHING OUTS

San Francisco Giants vs. Los Angeles Dodgers

A fabulous pitching matchup closes out the series between the Giants and Dodgers with Logan Webb set to square off against Tony Gonsolin. The former enters start No. 15 the owner of a 5-6 overall record, but his peripherals rank out amongst the league’s elite with the ERA clocking in at 3.15 and FIP 3.62. Though his 4.01 ERA is nearly double that of his output at home (2.04), the righty has gone 7+ innings four of the last five times he toed a visitor’s bump. He’ll be out for some retribution after LA peppered him for five hits (2 HR) and 5 ER in a 9-1 loss back on April 10. The latter looks to be getting in a groove as well having allowed three or less hits in five of his last six starts all the while conceding just 7 ER in his last seven. This has all the makings of a getaway day pitcher’s duel with both aces racking up quick early outs to go deep into the game.

SAME GAME MLB PARLAY: FIRST FIVE INNINGS UNDER + WEBB OVER PITCHING OUTS + GONSOLIN UNDER EARNED RUNS

New York Yankees vs. Boston Red Sox

We faded the Pinstripes through last weekend’s series in the Bronx where the BoSox took two of three to cash our ticket. The Big Maple didn’t get to pitch in that one, so you’ll know he’ll relish the opportunity to shove the Yankees faces in it after the team lost faith in him due to numerous injuries. When Paxton is pitching like a man possessed, you ride that gravy train until it derails! He looks to be locked and loaded right now having allowed just 27 total hits (4 HR) and 11 ER with an impressive 44:10 K/BB ratio through his 32 total innings of work. He’s been at his absolute best at home (1.69 ERA) as well as under the lights (3.09 ERA). It’s been an extremely rough go of it for Luis Severino who enters this start off getting bludgeoned by the Mets for seven hits (1 HR) and six runs (5 ER). The right-hander has pitched through the fifth inning twice through five overall starts, and another quick exit could be in store tonight with the Red Sox clubbing the 4-seamer, changeup, and slider to some impressive run values per Baseball Savant. Look for Paxton to shine and for Boston to hold serve against the MLB odds in the Sunday nighter!
