MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions – Monday, June 26
June 23, 2023USFL Betting – Divisional Playoffs Odds and Picks
June 23, 2023We ended up going 2-1 with last Sunday’s MLB Same Game Parlays at PointsBet Sportsbook. It took an unfortunate fourth and fifth inning in the Dodgers and Giants game to prevent us from sweeping the board with Logan Webb and Tony Gonsolin giving up a combined 5 ER after putting goose eggs on the board through 3 IP. Jesus Luzardo and the Marlins took care of business for us earlier, and that SGP cash was followed up with another when Brayan Bello led the Red Sox to the series sweep of the Yankees on Sunday Night Baseball. Let’s close the week in the green with some more parlay picks – SLAM YOUR MAN!!

Chicago Cubs vs. St. Louis Cardinals
We’ll start things off hell a early Sunday morning when the NL Central rival Cubs and Cardinals close things out in London. The second and final matchup of the abbreviated series pits Marcus Stroman up against Jack Flaherty. You know exactly who I’m siding with if you’ve been following my stuff all season. Stro has been nothing but a moneymaker for us all season. We’ve backed the Cubs and the over of his pitching outs prop a handful of times with repeated success, so we’re going right back to the well with Chicago’s ace doing everything he possibly can to lock up a multi-year deal. Flaherty has been nothing short of a train wreck all season! He’ll take the bump 4-5 with a 4.95 ERA all the while serving up 9.5 hits and 5.0 walks per nine innings. Chicago’s been swinging some potent sticks over the last week in averaging 6.1 runs per game which resulted in a 6-1 record. A whopping 86 percent of Stroman’s appearances have been of the quality variety. I’ll tip my hat if Flaherty and the Redbirds subpar pen find a way to beat him.

Atlanta Braves vs. Cincinnati Reds
The resurgence of the Cincinnati Reds is one I was touting over a month ago. Hopefully you invested in Cincy futures when they were still offering up value. I myself am holding a 24-1 ticket to win the NL Central and PointsBet currently has them locked in as +380 choices to get the job done now. Anyway, the time has finally come to see if this team is for real or just another flash in the pan with the NL East leading Atlanta Braves in town. After running up against AJ Smith-Shawver and Jared Shuster in the first two games, Elly De La Cruz and his mates will now be forced to match wits with Charlie Morton who ranks out as the No. 51 overall arm in the game per the folks over at Pitcher List. The veteran right-hander averages 10.5 K/9 but owns a K/BB ratio of 2.58 simply because he’s serving up 4.1 walks per nine innings. One of the keys of the Reds renaissance has been due to a keen batters eye that finds the lineup owners of the fifth best walk rate in the game (9.4%). Ben Lively has been at his best in the GAB where he’s surprisingly only allowed 20 hits and 11 ER with a 26:10 K/BB ratio through 25.2 innings. I love the way the Reds are competing and expect them to be a thorn in the favorite (+165) to win the NL pennant’s side all weekend long!

Minnesota Twins vs. Detroit Tigers
My main man Bailey Ober got roughed up last time out as he struggled to deal with what proved to be a locked in Red Sox lineup. Boston chewed him up and spit him out to the tune of eight hits (2 HR) and 3 ER, but the righty still managed to go six innings making it the third time in four June starts. His fastball just wasn’t getting the job done upstairs, while his slider failed to paint the corners downstairs. It forced him to resort to what had been a sparsely used curve to get there. Running up against the impotent bats of the Tigers that goes down on strikes at a 23.3 percent clip (No. 21), I firmly expect Ober to bounce back nicely in his first go-round with Detroit in the 2023 MLB betting season. Opposing him will be reliever turned starter Michael Lorenzen, and it’s starting to look like all the extra miles logged by his right arm is starting to catch up to him. After pitching to a 1.95 ERA and only allowing 21 hits (3 HR) through 32.1 IP in the month of May, he’s pitched to a 4.91 ERA through four June starts and allowed 24 hits (4 HR) through 25.2 IP in June. Minny’s offense has gotten much healthier of late, and it’s been much more potent against RHP (4.5 RPG) than LHP (3.5 RPG). Look for the Twinkies to flex their offensive muscles in the finale and put Ober in a position to tally win No. 5.
