NBA Finals Game 2 Same Game Parlay Picks
June 2, 2023MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions – Saturday, June 3
June 2, 2023Last Sunday’s MLB Same Game Parlays ended up 0-3 over at PointsBet Sportsbook with some tough luck preventing a pair of cashes. Dylan Cease had one bad inning giving up a granny to Akil Baddoo, but it was enough to lose the F5 under which was a shame considering he went over his K prop and E-Rod eclipsed his pitching outs prop as well. It was a major swing and a miss with the Giants who fought back to make the final score respectable with Colin Rea vastly exceeding expectations. Jose Berrios pitched remarkably in the run-in with his former team but needed to log one more out to exceed his pitching outs prop. Let’s see if we can close the week in the green with some parlay picks – SLAM YOUR MAN!!

Tampa Bay Rays vs. Boston Red Sox
I’ll start this off by saying I just cashed a nice series ticket on the Reds after they went into Fenway and took two of three from the slumping BoSox. Do you really think I’ll have any qualms backing the division leader in Sunday’s finale? Personally I don’t care who’s throwing for Tampa in this one though getting Taj Bradley is a bonus.
I’m not in any way, shape, or form impressed with what Brayan Bello has brought to the table through his first eight starts. The righty is giving up a ton of contact evidenced by his 10.1 hits per nine and 1.475 WHIP, and he’s been at his absolute worst at home (4.15 ERA) and especially in day games when he’s been peppered for 18 hits (3 HR) and 9 ER through 12.1 innings over three starts. Making matters all the more worse is the fact that Randy Arozarena and co. obliterate the 4-seamer and also boast a number of bats with impressive run values against the sinker and slider per Baseball Savant. This is an enormous starting pitching mismatch in favor of the road team!

Oakland A’s vs. Miami Marlins
I think it might be time to call a spade a spade when it comes to reigning NL Cy Young Award winner Sandy Alcantara. Last season looks to have taken a major toll on the right-hander who hasn’t been nearly as nasty through 11 made starts. Though still not giving up home runs (0.6/9), he’s been much more hittable evidenced by the 8.0 hits per nine being allowed. His walks are up as well in allowing 3.2 per nine. Miami has only managed three wins with its staff ace on the bump. That equates to a 27.3 percent success rate and a -$574 deficit for MLB bettors.
He’s going to be an enormous favorite in this spot against what could end up being a historically bad Oakland team, but the A’s might be in a positive regression uptrend right now after just taking two of three from the Atlanta Braves as decided home underdogs per the closing baseball odds. Paul Blackburn led them to one of those wins after tossing four innings of 1 ER ball with 6 K in his 2023 debut. With Miami allergic to scoring runs (No. 28) and the owner of a .681 OPS versus RHP, I’ll gamble and see if the A’s have another big dog score in store for us.

Cleveland Guardians vs. Minnesota Twins
I successfully faded the Twins last Sunday when Jose Berrios squared off against his former teammates. I will however reverse course and back them in a big way on Sunday when staff ace Joe Ryan closes the extended series out looking to bounce back from a rough showing in Houston earlier this week. Ryan will never dazzle you with his velocity and he’s a fly ball pitcher through and through, but the righty gets the job done mixing in a sensational splitter and keeps opposing batters off balanced with a nasty slider.
You know who can’t hit a slide piece to save its life? Cleveland. Only one Guardians’ bat owns a positive run value against the pitch type and it’s as low as it gets (+1). Ryan dominated Cleveland last season holding it to a .200 batting average through 19.2 innings, but will enter this start seeking same season revenge after taking the L getting outdueled by Cal Quantrill on May 7. While a big fan of Triston McKenzie, this will be his 2023 debut and he struggled with Minny in last year’s breakout campaign. I don’t see him being long for this one with Ryan giving us his customary six of quality with room for more.
