MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions – Monday, May 13
May 10, 2024Bet RBI Leader Futures Odds at Caesars Sportsbook
May 10, 2024We battled to recoup a chunk of MLB betting profit lost the prior week only to give some of it back with last Sunday’s MLB parlay picks. We never stood a chance with either of the first two same game parlays with both the Orioles and Dodgers dominating en route to waltzing to a pair of wins. To add insult to injury, Dean Kremer and James Paxton crushed both of their props and the Braves never sniffed their 4.5-run team total. Thankfully, we were able to close the night out with a win after the Phillies took care of business against Logan Webb and the Giants under the Sunday night lights. Here’s to putting an end to our two-week losing streak at Caesars Sportsbook on the day of rest – SLAM YOUR MAN!!

Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Baltimore Orioles Same Game Parlay:
Zac Gallen has been horrific away from the desert evidenced by his 0-2 record and inflated 6.60 ERA through a trio of starts. However, the right-hander returned to the bump on Tuesday to throw at the Reds since leaving his last start early against Seattle with a leg cramp. I expect the right-hander to be locked in and ready for what will prove to be one of his toughest assignments of the season against a Baltimore Orioles outfit that’s launched the most home runs in the league (54) and averages 5.3 runs per game.
Dean Kremer has been a steadying force within the O’s starting rotation pitching to a 3-2 record and 3.57 ERA while serving up just 6.2 hits per nine innings. While I’m not sure this is real, I’ll test fate in this spot against a D’backs offense that’s been far less impressive against right-handed pitching (#25) than LHP (#1). That being said, I learned my lesson last week and will take Zona’s horrific pen out of the equation and go the F5 route instead.

Houston Astros vs. Detroit Tigers Same Game Parlay:
No Mercy! I recommended taking a flier on Tarik Skubal and the Tigers on Saturday and will fire right back with A.J. Hinch’s crew on Sunday as well with Jack Flaherty set to square off against Justin Verlander in the vet’s return to Motown. Sorry, but the days of JV mowing down opposing batting lineups is a thing of the past. The righty used to routinely log double-digit K/9 tallies, but that has regressed mightily over the last handful of seasons. Through three 2024 starts, Verlander is the owner of a 6.8 K/9 and backs it up with a 3.6 BB/9 – that’s a 1.86 K/BB ratio folks!
On the flipside, Jack Flaherty continues to get the job done for his new team having logged quality starts in four of his last five outings while racking up an impressive 44:5 K/BB ratio. Unfortunately, the effort hasn’t resulted in a single win for the right-hander who will be looking to earn his first in this his eighth start of the MLB betting season. In my opinion, the Tigers are the better overall team in this showdown, so we’ll bypass the Tigers moneyline here and throw Flaherty to be accredited with the win to add some more bang for our SGP buck.
- FLAHERTY ACCREDITED WITH WIN
- VERLANDER UNDER TOTAL OUTS RECORDED
- FLAHERTY OVER TOTAL PITCHING STRIKEOUTS
Los Angeles Dodgers vs. San Diego Padres Same Game Parlay:
Walker Buehler isn’t ready for what will await him in Petco late Sunday afternoon. The righty couldn’t have asked for a better opponent to get his feet wet against last Monday night than that of the impotent Miami Marlins. That being said, it took him 77 pitches to get through four innings and serve up six hits (1 HR) and 3 ER along the way. Sorry, but the Friars offense will be a much tougher beast to tame than that of the Fish; especially with San Diego seeing beach balls at the plate right now having peppered opposing pitching for 6.3 runs per game over the last week!
The investment made on Yu Darvish years back hasn’t necessarily panned out for San Diego, but there’s still time to make it come to fruition. Since returning from his IL stint due to neck stiffness, the right-hander has been locked in having thrown 10 combined shutout innings against the Reds and Cubs with an 8:1 K/BB ratio. He’s already thrown at Mookie Betts and co. twice this season and earned no-decisions each time. This time around, I think the offense puts him in a position to win his third game of the year after sending Buehler to the showers early. Don’t let San Diego being favored get in the way of adding to your bankroll – it’s warranted!
