MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions – Saturday, May 4
May 2, 2024UFL Betting – Week 6 Parlay Picks
May 2, 2024It was a brutal showing for my MLB parlay picks this past Sunday which proved to be a fitting way to cap off my first losing week of the baseball betting season at Caesars Sportsbook. We ran really well over a three-week span, so it was only a matter of time until the negative regression monster sunk its teeth into me. The Mets walk-off 2-run bomb in the bottom of the 10th prevented us a shot of miraculously cashing the overs across the board in a game stated by Lance Lynn and Jose Quintana. Jared Jones was humbled in a big way by the Giants to never threaten his K prop, and then our under looked golden through four innings with Pablo Lopez and Reid Detmers dominating but then eight combined runs were scored in the fifth. It was just one of those days. Hopefully we can close this week out on a much higher note – SLAM YOUR MAN!!

Baltimore Orioles vs. Cincinnati Reds Same Game Parlay:
We’ve got a beaut to close this series out in the GAB with Dean Kremer set to square off against Nick Lodolo with bragging rights likely on the line. This will be a tricky spot for the Orioles righty who has been victim to the long ball in allowing 2.1 home runs per nine innings. He’s let one fly into the cheap seats in all but one of his six made starts, and enters this tilt having just served up a pair to the Yankees at home. Cincinnati’s left-hander looks to be coming into his own. While the 2.3 BB/9 are concerning, the southpaw has made up for it by striking out 11.6 batters per nine innings and conceding just 0.4 home runs which will come in handy against an O’s offense that leads the league at reaching the cheap seats (45). Though Kremer has been better away from Camden Yards, his 5.26 FIP sitting a run-plus higher than his 4.19 ERA lets me know he’s not all he’s cracked up to be. Lodolo checks all my boxes and is still flying a bit under MLB bettors’ radar – not for much longer!

Atlanta Braves vs. Los Angeles Dodgers Same Game Parlay:
Both the Braves and Dodgers have been exceptional against left-handed pitching to this point of the baseball betting season. Atlanta clocks in 7-3 versus the MLB odds and up $230 against southpaws, while Los Angeles stands 9-4 to put $130 worth of profit in their supporter’s pockets. That being said, one of this afternoon’s starting pitcher’s is not like the other. Max Fried is a staff ace, and he enters start No. 7 locked in having tossed 15 innings of shutout ball at the Marlins and Mariners in his last two turns. He’s also fared well versus current Dodgers’ sticks holding Mookie Betts and co. to a .218 batting average while registering a 46:14 K/BB ratio. On the other hand, James Paxton is no longer the strong and powerful “Big Maple” he once was with the lefty showcasing a 5.58 FIP, 1.675 WHIP, and sickening 7.7 BB/9. Do those outputs paint the picture of a pitcher that should be 3-0 with a 3.51 ERA? I didn’t think so!

San Francisco Giants vs. Philadelphia Phillies Same Game Parlay:
I don’t care that Taijuan Walker just got his bell rung in his 2024 debut at Petco. These same game parlay legs have little to do with the Phillies right-hander and everything to do with fading Logan Webb away from Oracle Park. At home, the right-hander has been a Hall of Fame pitcher evidenced by his 26-16 record, 2.64 ERA and 8.4 K/9. On the road, his ERA jumps up to 4.14 and K rate down to 7.9. The discrepancy has been even bigger to date with his home ERA chiming in at a paltry 0.82 and 5.31 when toeing the bump as a visitor. He’s also had issues with Bryce Harper and co. pitching to a 5.25 ERA and .389 batting average against over a pair of starts with each occurring at Citizens Bank Park. I expect his road woes to continue in this week’s installment of ESPN Sunday Night Baseball with the Phillies coming in white hot having come out on top in all but three of their last 16 games. 16-1 to win it all is looking pretty juicy right about now – I’m Just Sayin’!
