MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions – Saturday, August 31
August 30, 2024MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions – Tuesday, September 3
September 2, 2024We logged our first week in the red since mid-July after splitting last Sunday’s 6-pack of MLB parlay picks. Boston failing to hold onto a 4-0 lead through four innings was a tough L to take after cashing both pitcher props with Merrill Kelly serving up seven hits and Tanner Houck exceeding 17.5 pitching outs. Robbie Ray logged 4 K through three innings against the M’s, but was forced from the start early due to hamstring tightness preventing him from tallying the three strikeouts needed to go over his K prop. We suffered another frustrating loss on the F5 under when Seattle tied it up 2-2 in the bottom of the fifth. Thankfully Bryan Woo didn’t walk a single batter through his seven innings to prevent us from taking the collar at BetMGM Sportsbook. Let’s close the week strong and recoup some of those lost units – SLAM YOUR MAN!!
Reduced juice betting is one of the best ways for any sports bettor to save money and far too many people don’t take advantage of it. If you are not playing at a sportsbook that offers reduced juice betting then you are simply giving away money.

San Diego Padres vs. Tampa Bay Rays MLB Same Game Parlay:
The Padres, mainly Dylan Cease, let us down terribly the last time we got involved with San Diego. The right-hander surprisingly proved to be no match for a mediocre hitting Mets lineup against right-handed pitching after New York peppered him for nine hits and 2 ER though his 6.1 innings. To top it off, Cease came 1 K short of exceeding his 7.5 K prop. Insert pissed off emoji! Never one to hold a grudge, we’re jumping right back into the Cease waters with the right-hander lined up for a stellar showing against a Rays outfit batting a horrid .210 against RHP over the last two weeks (#28). To top it off, Tampa owns a number of horrific run values against his preferred pitch types going by the most up to date Stat Cast info. The cherry on top of this enticing sundae is the Rays sporting the second-highest K rate against righties (28.8%) dating back to August 15. It’s been a minute since Cease toppled his K prop—that ends today!
Ryan Pepiot was one of my go to arms early in the baseball betting season, but the right-hander has regressed with his stuff not nearly as dominant as it once was. He just took his sixth loss of the year after the Mariners got him for seven hits (2 HR) and 5 ER through six innings. Seattle is the worst team in baseball against right-handed pitching. You know who rips the cover off the ball against righties? Give yourself a gold star if you said the Friars. For the year they’re batting .275 with a .764 OPS (#4), but over the last two weeks, the average is up to .280 and OPS .811. That paired with Jurickson Profar and his mates teeing off on 4-seamers, changeups, and sliders spells ultimate doom with those pitch types the most heavily used of Pepiot’s arsenal. While not thrilled with this being an early pitch in the Trop on a Sunday, the spot is simply too good to not get involved on the MLB odds.

St. Louis Cardinals vs. New York Yankees MLB Same Game Parlay:
The Yankees offense looks to be in another one of its patented slumps that baseball bettors have been witness to throughout the season. But for one reason or another, Aaron Judge and Co. continue to flex their offensive muscles in series finales with the offense averaging 6.3 runs per game in the last six. They tallied eight or more runs three times during that stretch, and I fully expect that trend to continue in the finale with the Redbirds who will be trotting Miles Mikolas to the bump to make his 28th start of the MLB betting season. The right-hander’s hard hit rate is back up to 41 percent while his ground ball to fly ball rate is down to a near career-worst 0.72 resulting in a 3.4% home run percentage; the second-worst of his near ten year career!
With that, I don’t foresee the righty being long for this start running up against an unforgiving New York lineup that sports the highest OPS in the game (.774) that’s also launched the most moonshots into orbit (207). Let’s get freaky here and call for a number of Bronx Bombers to reach the cheap seats sending Mikolas to the showers before he even works up a lather.
