MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions – Saturday, September 7
September 6, 2024NFL Betting – Jets at 49ers Same Game Parlay
September 6, 2024It was a case of so close yet so far away with last Sunday’s MLB parlay picks after none of the suggested three home run fliers left the yard. We got deep singles and doubles from Jazz Chisholm and Juan Soto, but again, nothing reached the cheap seats. Thankfully, the Yankees did go on to exceed their 5.5-run team total in the shocking 14-7 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals. San Diego ultimately defeated the Rays 4-3, but neither Dylan Cease nor Ryan Pepiot came anywhere close to exceeding their respective strikeout and hits allowed props at BetMGM Sportsbook. Though the NFL will be getting all of sports bettors’ attention on Sunday, there’s still money to be made on the diamond. Let’s do exactly that and close the week strong – SLAM YOUR MAN!!
Reduced juice betting is one of the best ways for any sports bettor to save money and far too many people don’t take advantage of it. If you are not playing at a sportsbook that offers reduced juice betting then you are simply giving away money.

New York Yankees vs. Chicago Cubs MLB Same Game Parlay:
While all Windy City eyes will be on Soldier Field Sunday afternoon when Caleb Williams leads the Chicago Bears into battle against the Tennessee Titans, I reckon the series finale between the Cubs and Yankees will pique the interest of MLB bettors enough to have the game playing alongside the big screen. The first two games of this series didn’t boast the greatest of starting pitching matchups, but I think we’ll be privy to a good one in the finale with Jameson Taillon set to square off against Gerrit Cole—especially with New York looking to solidify its playoff stock and Chicago fighting tooth and nail to lock down one of the NL’s three wild card berths.
It took some time for Cole to find his bearings, but the reigning AL Cy Young Award winner has been in his patented lock down form since the calendar turned to August with the right-hander only conceding 27 hits (2 HR) and 7 ER with a K/BB ratio of 40:11 over six starts spanning 34 innings. Taillon only logged one quality start through five August outings, but kicked off September with a gem after tossing seven shutout innings at the Pirates. While Pittsburgh can’t hold a candle to what the Bombers bring to the dish, it was a marked improvement from the eight hits and 4 ER allowed to the Buccos in his prior start against the MLB odds. I expect Taillon to be way up for throwing at his former mates and partake in what I believe results in another one of those patented “anything you can do I can do better” standoffs with New York’s staff ace.

Cleveland Guardians vs. Los Angeles Dodgers MLB Same Game Parlay:
The finale of a potential World Series preview will play out late Sunday afternoon with the Guardians and Dodgers set to close out their three game set in Chavez Ravine. It’ll be interesting to see the type of crowd Dodger Stadium receives with Jim Harbaugh making his Chargers head coaching debut at the exact same time. Regardless, it won’t keep me off Jack Flaherty and the host Dodgers with the right-hander set to go mano-a-mano with Gavin Williams in one of the more underrated starting pitching matchups of the day.
Cleveland’s right-hander has been at his absolute best away from Progressive Field where he’s gone 3-2 with a stellar 2.70 ERA and 34:13 K/BB ratio over seven starts and 36.2 combined innings. That being said, the negative regression monster has paid him a visit on the road recently with Williams serving up 10 ER and 2 HR over his last 21.1 innings thrown. Flaherty has proven to be a godsend for the current +320 favorites to win the World Series at BetMGM with the right-hander logging four wins against the closing baseball betting lines through six starts while giving the team 5+ innings in each outing. Having already thrown at the Tribe on three occasions to date while with the Tigers and only allowing 11 hits (2 HR) and 3 ER with a 16:5 K/BB ratio over 18.0 combined innings, I expect the righty to be in line for another quality start and potential win once he departs in the later innings.
