CFB Futures – 2024 Nebraska Cornhuskers Win Total Odds
July 30, 2024MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions – Wednesday, July 31
July 30, 2024It’s not every day that you get to be on the wrong end of history being made, but that’s exactly what occurred with last Thursday’s MLB parlay picks after Dylan Cease went on to toss only the second no-hitter in San Diego Padres team history. Though Patrick Corbin cashed the under of his hits prop and only allowed 3 ER through seven innings, Cease proved to be untouchable. The story wasn’t good in Cleveland either where we cashed a nice underdog ticket on Detroit, but the Tigers failed to exceed their 3.5-run team total in the 3-0 win and in the process allowed Gavin Williams to exceed his total outs recorded prop at Caesars Sportsbook. Here’s to ushering in a plus-money showing to kick off the month of August with an assortment of MLB parlay leg endorsements – SLAM YOUR MAN!!

Baltimore Orioles vs. Cleveland Guardians MLB Same Game Parlay:
Two of the league’s best teams against the MLB odds will kick off a four-game series Thursday night as the Baltimore Orioles visit Progressive Field to face the Cleveland Guardians. The inconsistent Dean Kremer will take the mound for the Orioles, aiming for his first win since early July, when he evened his record at 4-4 throwing five innings of shutout ball against the Mariners. However, Kremer has suffered three losses in his last four starts, most recently falling to the Padres despite allowing just seven hits and 1 ER over six innings. While he has performed well on the road (3.05 ERA), he has struggled in night games, giving up 24 hits (8 HR) and 18 ER over 31 innings. Current Guardians’ hitters own a .364 batting average and 1.008 OPS against him, making this a challenging assignment for the right-hander.
Taking the mound for his 19th start will be Ben Lively, who has been a reliable option for manager Stephen Vogt. Lively has excelled at home, boasting a 5-1 record and 2.66 ERA, holding opponents to a .233 batting average with a 35:9 K/BB ratio over 40.2 innings. After a rough outing against the Tigers on July 9, where he gave up seven hits (2 HR) and 6 ER, Lively has bounced back, allowing 12 hits (3 HR) and 5 ER with a 15:6 K/BB ratio over his last three starts against the Rays, Padres, and Phillies. Despite Cleveland averaging only 2.3 runs per game in those matchups, I expect Jose Ramirez and Co. to provide more run support in this one, giving the Guardians the edge in the series opener against the Orioles, who just played four games in three days while Cleveland had Wednesday off.

St. Louis Cardinals vs. Chicago Cubs MLB Same Game Parlay:
After facing the Reds in a hitter’s paradise to start the week, the Cubs return home to open a crucial extended series with the rival Cardinals. Surprisingly, this will be the final series of the MLB betting season between these bitter rivals, making each game vital for both teams’ playoff chances. The opener features Kyle Gibson running up against All-Star Shota Imanaga. Gibson has been solid in his first season with the Cardinals, posting a 7-4 record with a 3.97 ERA and a 102:46 K/BB ratio over 113.1 innings. He’s excelled on the road where he’s logged a 3.13 ERA and a .202 batting average against. Given Chicago’s struggles against right-handed pitching (#24) compared to left-handed pitching (#18), and their .240 batting average versus RHP throughout July (#18), Gibson could shine again at Wrigley after tossing seven innings of shutout ball there back on June 14.
Imanaga is also expected to perform well, having impressed in his lone start against St. Louis. With so much on the line, runs may be hard to come by in this series opener. Additionally, a hot, sticky day with rain in the Chicago forecast suggests that not many balls will reach the cheap seats Thursday evening. Although St. Louis has excelled against RHP in July (#5), I’ll pay up to see if they have adjusted after Imanaga held Paul Goldschmidt and Co. to four hits and 1 ER with 6 K over seven innings in their first meeting. The under has cashed in against the closing baseball betting odds the last three times these rivals met at the corner of Sheffield and Addison this season and is 4-1-2 in their last seven meetings there. Look for runs to be held to a premium in the opener of this pivotal series.
