Last Thursday’s MLB Same Game Parlay Picks ended up 1-1 over at BetRivers Sportsbook and came one more Jose Berrios out away from sweeping the board. The day looked like it was going to start off terribly after the Brewers plated three quick runs in the first inning, but Kyle Bradish powered through and the offense erupted late to lead us to the thrilling SGP cash on the O’s moneyline + over team total. Los Angeles Angels vs. Texas Rangers
It goes without saying how important this series is for the Angels who entered it 6.5-games in back of the Rangers for the AL West lead. The final game offers MLB bettors a juicy pitching matchup to sink their teeth into with Shohei Ohtani set to square off against Nathan Eovaldi whose odds to win the AL Cy Young Award got as high as +12500 in the middle of April. Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Chicago Cubs
For a moment there, it looked like the Pirates fell into the abyss of mediocrity never to be heard from again. But since the end of May, the Buccos have rattled off wins in eight of their last 11 games to retain bragging rights atop the NL Central. As for Chicago, it currently resides in fourth place nine-games under .500 with whispers of the team being sellers and not buyers come the trade deadline. One player likely to be moved will be Marcus Stroman who’s done nothing but prove he should be a part of the Cubs plans for the future with the 32-year old 7-4 with a 2.42 ERA and 73:31 K/BB ratio all the while serving up just 6.1 hits and 0.5 home runs per nine. A whopping 86 percent of his starts have been of quality and he’s logged 18+ outs in five straight! Having allowed just 25 hits and 11 ER through 46.0 Wrigley Field innings, I expect him to carve up Pittsburgh’s No. 22 ranked offense versus righties (4.1 RPG) and lead the home team to the win.

Chicago White Sox vs. Los Angeles Dodgers
Michael Grove has been an auto fade for me every time I bet against the Dodgers with him leading the charge. So far, it’s paid off as I’m a perfect 3-0 fading LA with the rookie on the bump. Absolutely nothing about the right-hander jumps off the page positively with his ERA a robust 8.28 due to serving up 11.5 hits, 1.4 home runs, and nearly 3.0 walks per nine innings. However, the Dodgers will be catching a plus-money price at home with the White Sox set to trot Dylan Cease out for his 15th start of the MLB betting season. While the right-hander is sending 9.0 batters down via the K per nine innings, his WAR only clocks in at 0.6 mostly due to an absurd 4.1 walk rate. Sitting nine-games under the breakeven point and grossly failing to live up to expectations, the White Sox are toxic and I want absolutely nothing to do laying road chalk with them against the Dodgers who possess the best walk rate in Major League Baseball.
