New England Patriots Season Win Total Odds, Pick & Prediction
June 28, 2023Miami Dolphins Season Win Total Odds, Pick & Prediction
June 28, 2023Last Thursday’s MLB Same Game Parlay Picks ended up 2-1 over at BetRivers Sportsbook and we would’ve swept the board had the delayed Jake Irvin Fade come to pass. I still can’t believe the D’backs and Nats played to a low scorer with Tommy Henry squaring off against Irvin, but it is what it is. Thankfully, Blake Snell and Braxton Garrett showed up to lead us to a pair of SGP cashes with each easily surpassing their pitching out and K props respectively. Let’s see if we can’t bang out a few more same game parlay winners on Thursday’s slate – SLAM YOUR MAN!!

Tampa Bay Rays vs. Arizona Diamondbacks
The D’backs rake the sinker and slider per Baseball Savant. Those are the two most heavily used pitch-types Yonny Chirinos utilizes when making spot starts for the Rays. Arizona bludgeons right-handed pitching to the tune of a .780 OPS (No. 4) and 5.3 runs per game (No. 5). As such, it’s certainly within the range of outcomes that NL Rookie of the Year favorite Corbin Carroll (-590) and his mates have a banner afternoon at the plate. Not to be outdone, Tampa Bay will be in a position to hang a crooked number on the board themselves running up against the BP arm of Zach Davies whose ERA for the month of June clocks in at an absurd 9.00 after serving up 33 hits and 23 ER through his 23.0 total IP. Shockingly, he only gave up one home run in those five starts, so opposing offenses have been teeing off on the beach balls he’s been hurling with regularity. With Chirinos also walking 3.0 batters per nine and Davies 4.5, it’s pretty safe to assume daily fantasy baseballers will have a plethora of exposure to this matchup. Who am I to disagree with that train of thought?!

Miami Marlins vs. Boston Red Sox
After holding positions in the first two games of this series between the Marlins and Red Sox, does it really come as a surprise to see us invested in the finale? I’ll be placing a wager on Miami to win this series once BetRivers opens up the market, and expect this to be the deciding game not knowing which Sandy Alcantara shows up in the opener. Hopefully it’s the dominant version! If you’ve been following my stuff and placing wagers on the actionable info offered up, you’ll know that Jesus Luzardo has been a focal point of the success we’ve had to this point of the MLB betting season. While there have been some missteps along the way, the southpaw by and large has been a moneymaker in going 6-5 with a 3.77 ERA and slightly better 3.44 FIP. Averaging 10+ K/9 for 1+ seasons now, Luzardo is one of the premiere strikeout artists in the game. Though Boston has been one of the tougher teams to send down on strikes (No. 5), it just got done fanning at a 34.2 percent clip over the weekend on the Southside. With a 27.7 percent overall strikeout rate (No. 23) he’ll be in line to exceed his K prop for the fourth time this month. Brayan Bello has been great to date, but I’m not completely sold on the second year hurler. I don’t think he sees the sixth in this one!

San Francisco Giants vs. Toronto Blue Jays
Arguably the best pitching matchup of the series goes down in the finale with the Giants sending Logan Webb and his 3.16 ERA to the bump to square off against Jose Berrios in a battle of staff aces. That being said, the regression monster looks to have paid San Fran’s right-hander a visit in the month of June regardless of logging 7 IP in four of his five made starts. He’s been extremely hittable during that stretch in allowing 32 hits (5 HR) and 15 ER. For reference sake, he only allowed 25 hits (1 HR) and a total of 5 ER in his five May starts. He’s been the beneficiary of some solid offensive production with Michael Conforto and co. giving him an average of 6.3 runs to work with over his last three starts. I however don’t foresee the offense bailing him out in this spot versus Berrios who’s been nothing if not consistently solid throughout his 16 made starts. The righty has also been at his absolute best at home where his ERA is 1+ runs lower than his seasonal output. Toronto has come out victorious in eight of his L/11 made starts with four of his last five being of quality. Look for the BJs to hold serve and take the series.
