May 27, 2024MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions – Wednesday, May 29
May 28, 2024The negative regression monster hit us hard last Thursday ultimately leading to a horrific 1-5 showing for our parlay picks. We had a wonderful opportunity to cash both legs of the Padres/Reds matchup early in the second inning when Cincinnati had the bases loaded with no outs, but only managed to score one run. They let Matt Waldron off the hook and would then go on to lose the game 6-4 in extra innings. Though Jack Flaherty gave it everything he had to pitch into the seventh inning and exceed his outs prop, the Tigers bullpen got torched and allowed eight runs after he departed. Detroit also had all kinds of issues at the plate with Kevin Gausman ultimately letting Caesars Sportsbook take some weekly profit back from us. Let’s return the favor on this Thursday’s limited MLB betting slate – SLAM YOUR MAN!!

Kansas City Royals vs. Minnesota Twins MLB Same Game Parlay:
A huge series in the AL Central will come to an end Thursday afternoon when the Kansas City Royals and Minnesota Twins close out their extended four-game series from Target Field. We rode Joe Ryan and the Twinkies with success in Monday’s series opener, but will reverse course in the finale with Brady Singer set to square off against Chris Paddack. Since going 2-1 with a bloated 5.88 ERA in the month of April, Minnesota’s right-hander has settled in nicely throughout May tallying the same 2-1 record but lowering his ERA for the month to a more acceptable 3.07. Mind you, he got to run up against the impotent and or league average offenses of the Red Sox, Mariners, Guardians, and Rangers during that stretch with his toughest opponent coming in the form of the Yankees who peppered him for 12 hits and 5 ER through his five innings pitched.
Kansas City rates out above average across the board, and Paddack is yet to truly run up against what the Royals bring to the diamond on a gamely basis. The same can’t and won’t be said of Singer who’s thrown at Minnesota 12 times throughout his career and gone 3-6 with a 5.18 ERA and .254 batting average against. However, the righty is locked in for 2024 evidenced by his 4-2 record, 2.63 ERA, and 7.3 hits allowed per nine innings. He’s been silly good in day games as the owner of a 1.62 ERA, 1.11 WHIP, and .213 BAA, and enters his 12th start of the baseball betting season having led Kansas City to wins in four of five May starts. He’s already thrown seven innings of shutout ball with a season-high 10 K at the Twins this season, and will be in line to win his fifth game of the year once this one’s said and done.

Houston Astros vs. Seattle Mariners MLB Same Game Parlay:
The Astros have taken baby steps to get back into the AL West pennant chase having come out the victor in four of their last five played series. Much of that success however has been due to running up against the joke that is the Oakland A’s and coming out on top in six of those seven matchups. While Seattle is currently the ruler of the division roost, it’s been far from dominant as evidenced by its 28-26 overall record versus the MLB odds that finds it down $102 overall for its wagering supporters. Both pitching staff’s top arms will get a turn in this extended series with Justin Verlander and Logan Gilbert set to close it out Thursday afternoon from beautiful T-Mobile Park.
Houston’s right-hander will take to the bump for the eighth time to date the owner of a 3-2 record and 3.60 ERA. Two of his last three starts have been of quality with the vet allowing just 14 hits and 5 ER with a K/BB ratio of 20:4 over 17.2 combined innings. His best two showings occurred against the Tigers and A’s who each sport below average offenses, while the non-quality showing occurred against Milwaukee (#3) whom he needed to throw 98 pitches against just to get through 4.2 innings. Luckily for the vet, Seattle ranks 28th overall in averaging 3.7 runs per game, and it’s also had major issues in the K department with it going down on strikes at a league-worst 28.0% clip.
Logan Gilbert has been an extremely tough nut to crack this baseball betting season with the right-hander 3-2 with a 3.06 ERA that’s supported by a solid 3.39 FIP. However, he’s had a terrible time of it throughout the month of May evidenced by his 4.40 ERA and pedestrian 22:10 K/BB ratio. His best showing this month did however come against the Astros in which he tossed eight innings of shutout ball and managed to skate around 4 BB to earn his third win of the season. The showing proved to be his third straight win in as many starts against the M’s hated rival dating back to last season, but I’m not sold on him mirroring that feat this time around. The righty runs way too hot and cold for my likes and will be laying a price at Caesars as the favorite to win this game. I’ll pay up to see if he can live up to expectations!
