September 4, 2024NFL Betting – Packers vs. Eagles Same Game Parlay
September 4, 2024Last Thursday’s MLB parlay picks saw us pull off a reverse sweep with not a single one of the six leg recommendations hitting paydirt. The showing was ugly right from the jump with Corbin Burnes putting forth another catastrophic showing with eight hits and 5 ER allowed through 5.2 innings. The Orioles only managing three hits and not a single run against Spencer Arrighetti didn’t aid his cause. It got worse from there after Dylan Cease got ripped for nine hits and 2 ER through 6.1 innings while the Padres mustered only five hits and one run against Luis Severino who logged win No. 9 of the MLB betting season. The negative regression monster bit off a nice chunk of at Caesars Sportsbook, so let’s bite back with Thursday’s parlay legs – SLAM YOUR MAN!!

Arizona Diamondbacks vs. San Francisco Giants MLB Same Game Parlay:
Successive series losses to the Mets and Dodgers have the Snakes reeling entering this pivotal three-game set against the division rival Giants with each squad vying for a wild-card berth over the next month. As it stands right now, Zona owns the second seed nestled in between the Padres and Braves with the Mets a half-game out of contention. San Francisco has the steeper hill to climb with the team 6.5-games out. That being said, it’s the D’backs that are on thin ice with Ketel Marte and Christian Walker both on the IL and Lourdes Gurriel Jr. currently nursing a calf injury. That’s a load of offensive production Arizona could be without with the watered down lineup set to stare back at Blake Snell with the left-hander having led the Giants to wins against the closing baseball betting odds in five of his six made August starts.
The average combined score in his last four assignments clocks in at 4.5 runs per game, and I’m expecting a solid pitchers’ duel to play out once again in the finale of this three-game set. Merrill Kelly has been brutal on the road (6.35 ERA) and under the sun (5.48 ERA) to date, but the right-hander showed promise last time out settling down to only give up 1 ER and a walk over 5.1 innings after LA got him for a trio of home runs. It’s only a matter of time until the switch finally flips for the righty, and it could today against a current Giants lineup he’s held to a collective .229 batting average and .315 on-base percentage in his career. It’s a tough sell with Kelly right now considering he’s been lit up like a Christmas tree since returning from the IL, but San Fran ranks 26th against RHP for the year and 29th over the last 30 days.

Philadelphia Phillies vs. Miami Marlins MLB Same Game Parlay:
The luster on Ranger Suarez has completely worn off since getting out to a blazing start to his 2024 campaign. So much so that he was in the thick of the NL Cy Young Award race for a number of months. Now he can be had at Caesars at a whopping +15000! The lefty has logged a grand total of one win since the beginning of June, but I fully expect him to be ready, willing, and able to shine in this spot against a Marlins outfit that handed him his worst showing of the year back on June 30 after tagging him for 10 hits (1 HR) and 6 ER in what proved to be his second shortest outing of the season (4.2 IP).
The first occurred last time out against Atlanta. With Ranger fully rested and highly motivated to get back on the bump after being sent to the showers early, look for the southpaw to throw with a major chip on his shoulder and shine against a Miami lineup batting .231 (#21) with a .295 on-base percentage (#23) against LHP over the last 30 days. The cherry on top are the horrific run values the Fish currently possess per Baseball Savant against the sinker, curve, 4-seamer, and change—his four most heavily used pitch types. If ever there was a spot the lefty could secure win No. 12 against the MLB odds, this is it!
