CFB Odds – Florida State vs. Georgia Tech Same Game Parlay Recap
August 19, 2024MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions – Wednesday, August 21
August 19, 2024We suffered back-to-back losing nights with last Tuesday’s MLB parlay picks after only cashing two of the six leg recommendations at BetMGM Sportsbook. George Kirby was iffy to go against the Tigers, and I wish he hadn’t after getting rocked for 12 hits (3 HR) and 11 runs (6 ER) through just 3.2 innings. Something was up with the righty, and management failed him by not skipping his start. Thankfully, Tarik Skubal did his thing and cashed another K prop in for us with nine logged through six innings. Cleveland came through as short moneyline favorites against the Cubs, but failed to do so in an impressive fashion after only managing five hits and 1 ER off Assad. Let’s win the day tonight with another edition of same-game parlay legs – SLAM YOUR MAN!!
Reduced juice betting is one of the best ways for any sports bettor to save money and far too many people don’t take advantage of it. If you are not playing at a sportsbook that offers reduced juice betting then you are simply giving away money.

Cleveland Guardians vs. New York Yankees MLB Same Game Parlay:
The season debut for Matthew Boyd couldn’t have gone more swimmingly for the Guardians. The left-hander took the bump against Chicago and proceeded to toss 5.1 innings of three hits and 1 ER ball with 6 K and not a single walk issued. He couldn’t miss with his change and slider regardless of laying it right in the zone for the Cubs to smack. While he’s shown in the past to be a viable arm at the Big League level, I’ll pay up here with the Yankees who will likely prove to be a stiffer challenge regardless of having all kinds of issues against left-handed pitching. Surprisingly, Aaron Judge and Co. are batting a measly .233 against southpaws (#24) this baseball betting season, but that increases to .245 (#9) with a .336 OBP (#5) and .773 OPS (#8) at home dating back to August 1.
Now owners of the American League’s best overall record against the closing MLB odds, I fully expect the Pinstripes to come out guns ablazed for the opener of this crucial three-game series with it in a position to tally some breathing room atop the league standings. Luis Gil has failed to reach the sixth inning each of the last four times he toed the starting bump, but I expect the offense to give him some breathing room to work with tonight which should put him in a position to log what’s been a rare quality start. He’s been extremely dominant in the Bronx (2.90 ERA) having allowed just 37 hits (5 HR) and 20 ER while holding the opposition to a .167 batting average against. Cleveland’s been tougher against lefties (#13) than righties (#20), and is only batting .198 against as a team on the road since the calendar turned to August. They’ve also seen very limited offerings from Gil with only five at-bats taken by the current roster. New York cruises in the opener!

Minnesota Twins vs. San Diego Padres MLB Same Game Parlay:
The Twinkies and Friars enter this intriguing interleague set firmly entrenched within the wild-card races of their respective leagues. At the time of this writing, Minnesota had the second bid within their grasp with a 2.5-game lead over the Boston Red Sox. Meanwhile, San Diego is the NL’s No. 1 wild-card with only 39 games remaining on the baseball betting docket. As competitive both league races are entering the back end of August, it goes without saying just how important this series is for both squads. With each starting rotation pieced together with Scotch tape and Band-Aids, tonight’s matchup will pit Bailey Ober and Martin Perez up against one another and it’s the host arm that I’ll recommend backing on the baseball betting odds.
Ober enters start No. 24 having led Minny to five straight wins after just tossing six innings of 2 ER ball with a yawnstipating 3:3 K/BB ratio against the Texas Rangers. It marked the tenth straight time that Ober produced a quality start for his ball club! Things could get hairy in this one however running up against the team that punishes right-handed pitching to the tune of a .274 batting average (#1), .330 OBP (#3), and .760 OPS (#4). Though only batting .250 at home vs. RHP in August (#18), I don’t think Ober holds up knowing full well his hot streak has been maintained by throwing a bunch at the Tigers, White Sox, and A’s. While not enamored with Perez, his career has taken on new life with San Diego with the veteran only allowing 11 hits (1 HR) and 4 ER with a 21:3 K/BB ratio over three starts. Look for his offense to offer up the run support needed to possibly log back-to-back wins.
