July 17, 2023NFL Betting Expected to Shatter Records in 2023
July 17, 2023A loaded MLB betting slate is set to go at BetRivers Sportsbook tonight! We reeled in some green with last Tuesday’s installment of MLB same game parlays, so let’s see if we can’t add to the bankroll once again with another trio of parlay picks – SLAM YOUR MAN!!
Bet Major League Baseball at BetRivers Sportsbook
Milwaukee Brewers vs. Philadelphia Phillies
The Brew Crew closed the month of June on a high that’s carried over into July in a big time way! Since the calendar flipped to the seventh month of the year, Craig Counsell’s troops have collected nine wins in their 12 played games and are yet to drop a series. It just did itself a major solid by taking five of six from the division rival Reds in series played before and after the All-Star break. Milwaukee will however run into another smoking hot club in the Phillies starting Tuesday night, and I got a feeling Aaron Nola and co. set the tone for the series by coming up with a big win that covers all the alternates. While the veteran right-hander’s season has been of the roller coaster variety evidenced by his 8-6 record and 4.39 ERA, he dominated the Brew Crew a season ago only allowing six hits and not a single run while racking up a 15:1 K/BB ratio through 15 combined innings over two starts. Look for Bryce Harper and a Phillies lineup that came out scorching post-break to give him ample run support to let it fly against Julio Teheran.

Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Atlanta Braves
The Braves just lost a series for the first time since shockingly dropping two of three in Oakland to close the month of May. That means they’ll come out stark raving mad and take it to the D’backs in the opener of this three game set at Truist… right? Nope! Well, it’s highly possible but we’ll still fade all the Atlanta money BetRivers is destined to be bombarded with and take a stab with a heavily dogged Arizona squad that certainly has many a novice MLB bettor thinking the end of the road has finally arrived for Torey Lovullo’s squad. The Snakes will deserve to be decided underdogs in this matchup with Zach Davies and his bloated 6.37 ERA set to take the bump against the league’s second-ranked scoring offense. Even more considering just how fantastic Bryce Elder has been both at home (3.09 ERA) and under the lights (2.30 ERA). That being said, Zona enters this series the more desperate of the two teams having just been swept north of the border to see their lead atop the NL West standings vanish into thin air. I fully expect Corbin Carroll and his mates to hit the field determined and set the tone of the series by coming up with a huge win; both for their supporters as well as those booking the bets!

Minnesota Twins vs. Seattle Mariners
This pitching matchup tugs on my heart strings with both Bailey Ober and Bryan Woo adding to the bottom line numerous times this baseball betting campaign. I came away extremely impressed with what the former did heading into the break. After throwing seven innings of shutout ball at the Orioles to kick off the month of July, he followed it up with six more innings of 1 ER ball allowed against the same Baltimore lineup just six days later. The O’s offense is no joke! To do that lets me know that this breakout season is in fact legit. I didn’t think much of Bryan Woo after his debut – neither did anyone else – but the righty has been electric ever since in conceding two or fewer earned runs in each of his last six starts all the while racking up a gaudy 39:8 K/BB ratio. The kid brings the heat and generates a ton of swing and miss which will set him up nicely versus the Twinkies who own a league-worst strikeout percentage (26.8%). Seattle sits right in front of them (25.9%), so we should see a plethora of M’s bats going down swinging as well with Ober garnering a 14.1 percent swinging strike percentage (No. 31) per Pitcher List. This has pitcher’s duel written all over it and I can’t wait to throw some popcorn into the microwave, sit back, and watch both arms put on a show!
