MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions – Sunday, June 16
June 14, 2024MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions – Thursday, June 20
June 18, 2024Pitching changes took the wind out of our heater and ended up costing us a unit with last Tuesday’s MLB parlay picks. Hunter Greene saw his start get pushed back to Friday after taking on a huge workload in his previous two starts. Triston McKenzie did end up starting, but only surrendered a pair of earned runs and his number to beat closed 2.5. Garret Crochet saw his start get pushed back to Wednesday. Unfortunately, Bryan Woo was effectively shut down for the season to go under the knife for Tommy John surgery so we ended up not having a single position with action over at BetMGM Sportsbook in the night cap between the White Sox and Mariners. Fingers crossed the baseball gods don’t ransack the listed pitchers tonight – SLAM YOUR MAN!!

Cincinnati Reds vs. Pittsburgh Pirates MLB Same Game Parlay:
The negative regression monster has made it a point to set his sights on Buccos left-hander Bailey Falter. After going 1-0 with a rock solid 2.23 ERA throughout the month of May, the southpaw has proceeded to go 0-2 with a bloated 9.00 ERA after allowing 16 hits (2 HR) and 8 ER with an 11:3 K/BB ratio. He only managed to make it through the fourth inning in each of his June starts against the Dodgers and Cardinals, and Pittsburgh has gone down in defeat each of the last three times he took to the starting bump. Falter squared off against the Reds three times last season and served up a whopping 21 hits (4 HR) and 14 ER while only managing 7 K through 11.2 combined innings of work!
Nick Lodolo continues to be the most consistent arm in the ‘Natti’s starting rotation. The lefty enters start No. 11 7-2 with a 2.93 ERA, 1.06 WHIP, and .216 batting average against all the while sporting a rock solid 3.37 FIP that’s been bolstered by a 25.6% K rate. He’s logged wins in all three of his June starts against the Cubs (twice) and Guardians giving the Redlegs six innings in all three outings. He’s been at his absolute best on the road (2.55 ERA) and under the lights (2.37 ERA), and should find PNC Park to his liking as great a ball park it’s proven to be for pitchers. Even though it just partook in a three-game set at Coors, the Pirates offense has only gone for 4.1 runs per game over the last week and remains one of the best teams in the Bigs to target for strikeouts against. I expect Lodolo’s solid run to continue and for Falter to continue regressing back to his career outputs.

San Francisco Giants vs. Chicago Cubs MLB Same Game Parlay:
It’s been rough sledding for Logan Webb since the calendar turned to June. Though he’s been giving the Giants the innings needed to compete, the right-hander has conceded at least five hits and 2 ER in all three of his outings against the Astros, Rangers, and Yankees. All three of those offenses were much tougher than what the Cubs will bring between the lines for the middle game of this three-game set at Wrigley Field. With Chicago averaging a mindboggling 2.6 runs per game over the last week and just managing six total runs in the three-game series with the Redbirds, I fully expect this to be a get-right spot for the right-hander who has only allowed 18 hits but 10 ER with a solid 15:3 K/BB ratio through three lifetime starts in the “Friendly Confines.”
Justin Steele is yet to log a single win through nine starts against the MLB odds regardless of his offense giving him an average of 5.77 runs of support per start. His record only comes in at 0-3 mostly due to the bullpen blowing so many games late. The lefty has been nothing short of outstanding since June arrived evidenced by his 1.00 ERA and allowing just 15 hits (0 HR) and 2 ER with a 17:6 K/BB ratio through 18.0 combined innings of work. He’s held current Giants’ bats to a .190 batting average with only three of the eight hits allowed being of the extra bases variety. Opponents are only batting .184 against his stuff under the lights, and I fully expect him to thrive and possibly put himself in a position to tally his first win of the year.
