MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions – Thursday, August 8
August 6, 2024Wyndham Championship Odds and Picks
August 6, 2024Last Tuesday’s MLB parlay picks kicked off an epic week of adding to the bankroll over at Caesars Sportsbook which resulted in six straight winning days. The Cubs got the party started by busting out the boom sticks in the ‘Natti where it avoided an embarrassing sweep by hammering Reds’ pitching for 17 hits and 13 runs. Somehow, Nick Lodolo managed to scratch out 17 outs to hand us our only defeat of the evening. We then went on to sweep all three MLB parlay legs in the Dodgers/Padres matchup that saw Dylan Cease pick up win No. 10 after his offense peppered Clayton Kershaw for six hits through 3.2 innings to log the 8-1 win and mini sweep of their division rivals. Let’s see if we can do more damage to the man with this week’s edition of Hump Day Same Game Parley leg recommendations – SLAM YOUR MAN!!
Reduced juice betting is one of the best ways for any sports bettor to save money and far too many people don’t take advantage of it. If you are not playing at a sportsbook that offers reduced juice betting then you are simply giving away money.

San Francisco Giants vs. Washington Nationals MLB Same Game Parlay:
Many MLB bettors might hesitate to back the Giants with Blake Snell making his first start since tossing the first no-hitter of his brilliant career against the Reds. Not me! We backed him in his previous start against Colorado, where he delivered six shutout innings and racked up 15 strikeouts. He followed that up with 11 more strikeouts against Cincinnati. Since returning from the IL in early July, Snell has pitched 33 innings, allowing just eight hits (1 HR) and 2 ER, with an impressive 41-10 K/BB ratio. Plus, he’s exceeded 100 pitches in his last two starts.
Washington has struggled against left-handed pitching (#19) and has issues with the curve, changeup, and slider, according to Baseball Savant. Snell is locked in, and the Giants have toppled the MLB odds in eight of their last 11 games, getting back into the NL wild-card race sitting 4.5-games out to kick off the week. San Francisco’s lineup matches up well with Jake Irvin’s arsenal enough to think they’ll put some separation on the board and take down the third game of this important four-game series.

Milwaukee Brewers vs. Atlanta Braves MLB Same Game Parlay:
The Brewers limp into Truist Park as the NL Central leaders, having lost three straight series against the closing baseball betting odds to see their lead shrink to just 5.5 games. Injuries have derailed an offense that was once one of the most potent in the entire league. Since Christian Yelich was sidelined in their 1-0 win over the Cubs in Chicago, Milwaukee has averaged 4.0 runs per game over their last 10, scoring three or fewer runs six times. This is a significant drop from their seasonal average of 4.72 runs plated per game (#10). Since July 23, the Brewers are batting .251 (#12) with a .317 OBP (#15) and a .701 OPS (#20).
It hasn’t been sunshine and rainbows for the Braves offense either during that same stretch with the offense still dealing with the after effects of not having Ronald Acuna Jr. and Ozzie Albies situated atop the batting order. Over their last 12 games, Atlanta is batting .225 (#26) with a .299 OBP (#21) and a .724 OPS (#15). With both offenses riding the struggle bus, I expect the pitching to dominate. Despite these teams combining for an average of 8.3 runs in last week’s three-game set at Miller Park, Freddy Peralta has excelled on the road (3.36 ERA) with a 29% K rate and at night (3.52 ERA), while Charlie Morton boasts a 3.00 ERA and .238 BAA at home, conceding only 21 ER through 63 IP. With both bullpens top-7 units over the last two weeks, look for runs to be tough to come by and for both starters to excel.
