MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions – Thursday, June 20
June 18, 2024NFL Coach of the Year Odds and Picks
June 18, 2024A week removed from sweeping each and every parlay leg, we gave back some of our bankroll with last Wednesday’s parlay picks after churning out a 3-3 record. I capped the Rockies/Twins matchup perfectly expecting Minnesota to rip into Austin Gomber which they did for 11 hits and 8 ER, but unfortunately Pablo Lopez failed to go deep enough to log the quality start. He got the win, but we needed three more outs to exceed his 17.5 outs prop at Caesars Sportsbook. We swung and missed in the nightcap after Sonny Gray went seven to match his deepest start of the baseball betting season. Here’s to getting back in the black with another Hump Day installment of same game parlay pick recommendations – SLAM YOUR MAN!!

Detroit Tigers vs. Atlanta Braves MLB Same Game Parlay:
You know I’m going right back to the well with the current frontrunner to take home the AL Cy Young Award after taking his first loss since late May last time out. Everything fell apart for Tarik Skubal in the sixth inning in Houston, and he ended up taking the “L” because of it. While the 2 K came off as a bit disappointing against the Astros who have proven game in and game out to be one of the toughest teams in the league to send down via the K, I fully expect the Tigers’ staff ace to get back on track against an Atlanta outfit that’s been one of the best teams in MLB to target when looking for a hurler to scratch out a crooked number. The Braves currently own the league’s 19th ranked K rate (23.1%) which clocks in at 22.9% over the last 14 days and 22.6% over the last week. Skubal has only exceeded his K prop at Caesars once over his last three starts, but I fully expect him to bury it in start No. 15!
On the flipside, Reynaldo Lopez has morphed into a thing seemingly out of nowhere. I still don’t get how he’s been able to do it as unimpressive his swinging strike rate has been with the 4-seamer and the slide piece routinely missing the zone. That being said, the Tigers offense is way to hit or miss for my liking and enters this series plating three or fewer runs in seven of their last 10 road games. No reason to think Lopez can’t keep throwing fairy dust at the opposition and improve upon his mindboggling 1.69 ERA for at least one more start. Look for runs to be tough to come by under the hot sun in the series finale.

Kansas City Royals vs. Oakland Athletics MLB Same Game Parlay:
I’m never comfortable laying huge chalk regardless of the price. This however looks to be as good a spot as any to lay it with the Royals marching Cole Ragans to the bump to throw at an A’s outfit in the midst of a nine-game losing streak against the closing MLB odds at the time of this writing. Even so, we’ll go with the run-line instead since I have no belief in Oakland being able to handle his stuff considering the southpaw hurled seven shutout innings at them already once this season to earn his third win of the baseball betting season. As great May proved to be for the 26-year old, June has gotten out to an even more impressive start with only 14 hits (3 HR) and 5 ER allowed through 19 total innings pitched against the Padres, Mariners, and Dodgers. The fact that his road (3.13 ERA) and night (5.04 ERA) splits have been his worst also has me siding with the run-line just in case.
That being said, I don’t foresee Luis Medina and his middling stuff that’s translated into three losses all by at least two runs getting in the way of Kansas city flexing its offensive muscles. The righty is yet to pitch through six innings which bodes extremely well for our run-line ticket considering how poorly the A’s bullpen has executed recently. While the unit ranks out amongst the top-10 in the league with a collective 3.50 ERA overall (#7), it’s output over the last two weeks equates to the absolute worst of all 30 teams (7.42 ERA) and it hasn’t been much better over the last week either (6.93 ERA). Though Aaron Judge has supplanted Juan Soto as the clubhouse leader to take home the AL MVP Award, Bobby Witt Jr. (+375) is still in the discussions. Look for him to eat big time tonight!
