MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions – Thursday, September 7
September 5, 2023UFC Odds – UFC 293: Adesanya vs. Strickland
September 6, 2023We ended up cashing two of three MLB Same Game Parlays over at PointsBet Sportsbook last Tuesday to cash in on the SGP MLB odds once again. The night started off with a winning ticket on the F5 under between the Cubs and Tigers with Tarik Skubal logging 7 K to exceed his strikeout prop. We swung and missed on the Nationals who got rolled up and smoked by Luis Severino and the Yankees, but closed the night out strong after Justin Verlander led Houston to the 7-3 win over the Red Sox with the Astros also going over their team total. Here’s to reeling in some green with a Hump Day trio of baseball parlay picks – SLAM YOUR MAN!!
Bet Major League Baseball at PointsBet Sportsbook
Milwaukee Brewers vs. Pittsburgh Pirates
Let’s kick off the baseball betting day bright and early in the finale between the Brew Crew and Buccos with Freddy Peralta set to square off against Mitch Keller in what I expect to play out to a solid pitcher’s duel. The Pirates right-hander has seemingly rediscovered his groove since the middle of August having led Pittsburgh to four straight wins by way of giving up 2 ER or fewer in his last 26 innings while racking up an impressive 33:8 K/BB ratio. He’ll take the bump for start No. 29 with a major chip on his shoulder after Milwaukee tagged him for 14 hits (2 HR) and 12 ER through just 10.0 combined innings over two earlier season starts. Milwaukee currently holds a 3.5-game lead atop the NL Central standings largely due to the heroics of Freddy Peralta who’s helped lead the team to wins in nine of his last 10 starts all the while improving his record to 11-8 and ERA to 3.85. He’s opposed the Pirates twice to date and allowed 5 ER with a 17:5 K/BB ratio over 11.1 combined innings and owns a career 2.81 ERA and .095 batting average against through 11 appearances and six PNC Park starts. Look for both arms to keep the bats in check and go deep into this one!

Minnesota Twins vs. Cleveland Guardians
A huge series wraps in Progressive Hump Day night with Joe Ryan set to square off against Gavin Williams with AL Central bragging rights on the line. As it stands heading into the week, the Twins hold a 5-game lead to punch the division’s only ticket to the playoffs which means the Guardians must at the very least win this series if not bust out the brooms to make the final month of the season interesting. That’s a tough sell with Joe Ryan taking to the bump for his third start since returning from the IL. The righty was solid in a pair of starts against Texas limiting the Rangers to eight hits (2 HR) and 2 ER with a 14:2 K/BB ratio over 11 combined innings. He’s the stud arm of this rotation and must perform in order to lead his team to what would be a crucial series win. He’s thrown at the Tribe twice this season and took the loss both times regardless of allowing only 4 ER with an 8:1 K/BB ratio over 12.2 total innings. If betting on either of these pitchers to go deep in this one, my money would be on the Twinkies hurler with Williams nothing more than a five inning pitcher that enters this start a bit banged up. Minnesota takes it!

Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Miami Marlins
I’m playing with fire here fading the NL West leading Dodgers coming off a disappointing series loss at home to the Braves, but I simply can’t overlook this spot as fantastic the Marlins have been in their home digs throughout the entirety of the MLB betting season. Before negative regression hit in early August, Miami at one point as one of the best bets in the game whenever it marched between the lines in front of the hometown faithful. While Braxton Garrett has been much more effective on the road (2.74 ERA) than at home (4.94 ERA), he’ll know exactly what to do against LA’s lineup having just thrown six innings of 3 ER ball with 6 K and no walks at them in Tinseltown back on August 19. The luster of coming over from a loser to pitch for a World Series contender has worn off just a bit for Lance Lynn who’s allowed 17 hits (5 HR) and 10 ER with a 2:4 K/BB ratio over his last two starts. Miami’s been averaging 5.0 runs per game over the last week, and needs to stockpile as many wins as possible right now with it clenching onto the final wild-card seed.
