NBA Playoff Betting – Saturday, May 27 Same Game Parlay Picks
May 26, 2023MLB Same Game Parlays – Saturday, May 27
May 26, 2023Last Sunday’s MLB Same Game Parlays ended up 1-2 over at PointsBet Sportsbook to close the week on a bit of a downer. Had you bet everything individually, you had yourself a solid day with all selections going 5-2-1 to bring back a tidy profit. The Mariners falling to the Braves 3-2 took away from George Kirby’s commendable effort that saw him exceed both his K and pitching outs props. The D’backs crushed Pittsburgh and also went over their team total with ease, but Merrill Kelly was yanked after five innings and only 91 pitches thrown. Miami somehow managed to push the F5 moneyline even with Jesus Luzardo’s terrible showing, but he did smash his K prop. Let’s see if we can close the week in the green with some parlay picks – SLAM YOUR MAN!!

Chicago White Sox vs. Detroit Tigers
So are we gonna get six innings from Dylan Cease or will it be another disappointing showing that fails to put him in a position to log the quality start? Since shockingly getting ripped for nine hits and 7 ER against the Kansas City Royals of all teams, the righty has ripped off three straight quality efforts against the Astros and Guardians twice. While Cleveland has been a saving grace for just about every pitcher that’s stood in its way, I think No. 84 can thrive in this spot against a Tigers offense he’s yet to oppose but has dominated over the course of his career in going 10-1 with a 1.72 ERA and 88:24 K/BB ratio. This will be a huge litmus test to see if the right-hander is back on track, or if it was just the Guardians impotent offense that proved to be the elixir. I’ll bank on the former but will also expect Eduardo Rodriguez to show up as well setting up what I think will be an attractive Sunday afternoon pitcher’s duel in Comerica.

San Francisco Giants vs. Milwaukee Brewers
I’m not exactly certain how much longer this hot streak will last for Alex Cobb. Until the injury bug sinks its teeth into him like it normally does, I’ll continue riding the money train until it derails. The righty has been unbelievably consistent and effective through his 10 made starts hurling to a 4-1 record and 2.17 ERA that’s been bolstered by an impressive 52:14 K/BB ratio. The veteran has been sensational on the road averaging 6.4 strikeouts per walk and conceding only 8 ER through 28 innings over five starts. While he doesn’t register a ton of swings and misses (No. 171) and gives up a good amount of hard contact (No. 172), only three pitchers own a higher ground ball rate than No. 38. Absolutely nothing jumps off the page for me when it comes to Colin Rea. His 5.23 FIP is worse than his 4.71 ERA and his 3.7 BB/9 has only allowed for one quality start through six tries. San Fran ranks ninth in OPS against righties and has been on a tear of late going for double-digit hits in three straight including Thursday’s series opener. Giants take the series by bouncing Rea early.

Toronto Blue Jays vs. Minnesota Twins
I recommended fading Bailey Ober in his most recent turn at home against San Francisco. Coming off that huge showing at Chavez Ravine, I knew PointsBet would hang an inflated number in his home start against the Giants. He ended up getting pulled in the fifth after only throwing 76 pitches and allowing 4 ER on three hits (1 HR). He just didn’t have it that day. I do however expect him to bounce back in this spot against the schizophrenic Blue Jays who’ve been a losing investment playing away from Toronto (-$390). That being said, Jose Berrios makes his return to Target Field in the midst of a heater himself that has me leaning towards backing the Jays. As rough a time Toronto has had playing against AL East opposition (6-15), it’s been pretty darn good against everyone else. The injury bug has done a number on the Twins roster of late. Ober will compete but it won’t be enough – Berrios gets his revenge!
