MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions – Sunday, June 2
May 31, 2024UFL Betting – Week 10 Parlay Picks
May 31, 2024After easily dispatching their conference final opponents, the Dallas Mavericks and Boston Celtics will tangle for the O’Brien Trophy with Game 1 set for Thursday, June 6. The Mavs enter the NBA Finals as a +180 underdog at Caesars sportsbook to what’s been the best team all season long. The Celtics were the NBA futures odds favorite before the regular season started and they lived up to their status posting the best record in the league and winning the East by 14 games. The Celtics then cruised through the playoffs improving to 12-2 with a four-game sweep of the Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference Final. Boston is a healthy +225 favorite on the early NBA betting odds.
The road was a little trickier for the Mavericks, who entered the postseason as the No. 5 seed in the West. While Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving stand out among all Dallas players, some shrewd moves at the trade deadline helped speed up the process and surrounded the two stars with more talent. Dallas swung a pair of deals acquiring Daniel Gafford and P.J. Washington in moves that transformed the team’s defense. Seeded lower than their three NBA playoff opponents forced the Mavs to win on the road, and they’ve done that better than any team. They won all three games in Minnesota to down the Timberwolves 4-1 in the Western Conference Final and they are 7-2 on the road this postseason.

Dallas Mavericks
The Mavs took out three of the West’s top-four seeds to reach the NBA Finals for the third time in franchise history and first since 2011 when they won the trophy beating the Miami Heat in six games. They rallied to beat the four-seed LA Clippers in the first round in six games after losing Game 1. The Mavs eliminated No. 1 seed Oklahoma City in similar fashion in the second round recovering from a Game 1 loss to beat the Thunder in six games. The Mavs then opened the West Final winning the first three games and routing the No. 3 seed Timberwolves, 124-103, on the road in the decisive Game 5.
In order to win the championship the Mavs will have to win at least one NBA Finals game in Boston. But winning on the road hasn’t been a problem for them this postseason. They actually had one of the better road records during the regular year and continued that trend. Dallas enters the NBA Finals riding a five-game road winning streak and they’ve won seven of nine away games overall while going 7-2 as a NBA pick against the spread.
Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving get all the headlines as the marquee players. They each scored 36 points in the Minnesota series clincher and have combined to average 51.6 points in the NBA playoffs. He has six triple-doubles in 17 playoff games and opened as the second favorite on the NBA Finals MVP board.
Boston Celtics
The Celtics have made it look easy with only two setbacks in the first three rounds of the NBA playoffs. Some might doubt them since they beat Miami without Jimmy Butler and faced Cleveland in the second round with the Cavs missing Donovan Mitchell and Jarrett Allen for the final two games of that series. The Cs swept Indiana in the East Final and didn’t have to deal with Tyrese Haliburton in the last two games.
Boston had to deal with its own issues, notably the loss of Kristaps Porzingis to a calf injury in the opening round. There’s a good chance he’s able to play in the NBA Finals making the Celtics that much stronger. Opponent injuries helped but the Celtics were favored by at least seven points in each of their 14 NBA playoff games. And in eight of those games they were a double digit NBA point spread favorite going 7-7 against the NBA betting line.
Led by NBA Finals MVP favorite Jayson Tatum the Celtics won both regular season games over Dallas covering the NBA point spread each time. Tatum went for 32 points in a 138-110 home win and dropped 39 in a 119-110 win in Big D. Tatum is averaging 26.0 points and 10.4 rebounds, and has something to prove after his NBA Finals failure two years ago. Boston has more options offensively and can match Dallas’s defensive intensity helping them to a NBA Finals win.
