possible seed. On the whole, both the Big Ten and SEC are again providing the best college basketball found anywhere. This week we have a strong lineup of games from those two conferences. Additionally, we get a top Pac-12 rivalry matchup from Los Angeles.

#3 Purdue Boilermakers at Michigan Wolverines, 9 p.m. ESPN
In sum, Purdue us 20-3 straight up, 12-11 against the spread, and 15-8 over the total. The Boilermakers rank 4th out of 350 teams for scoring offense and 180th for points allowed. By contrast, Michigan is 11-9 straight up, 8-12 against the spread, and 13-7 over the College Basketball Odds Lines total. Michigan ranks 131st for scoring offense and 184th for points allowed.
Michigan’s roster retool has been much more painful than expected. In comparison, Purdue gets a price break as a quality road team. Michigan has paid in only three of its most recent nine outings.

Pacific Tigers at #2 Gonzaga Bulldogs, 9 p.m. CBSSN
Late on, Gonzaga has lost just one of its most recent eight games on the board. The Bulldogs are 19-2 straight up, 12-8-1 against the spread, and 10-11 under the total. Accordingly, the Zags rank 1st in the nation for scoring offense and 77th for points allowed. By contrast, Pacific has covered only two of its last ten outings. The Tigers are 7-15 straight up, 4-16 against the spread, and 10-8 over the total. Further, Pacific ranks an abysmal 302nd for scoring offense and 211th for points allowed.
Of course, Gonzaga is pointing towards the NCAA Tournament and its elusive first national championship. Naturally, the number will be large here. But Pacific cannot hang with Gonzaga over the long haul.

Texas A&M Aggies at #1 Auburn Tigers, 12 p.m. ESPN
To summarize, Texas A&M is 15-8 straight up, 12-10 against the spread, and 15-7 over the total. The Aggies rank 113th in the nation for scoring offense and 93rd for points allowed. Counter to that is Auburn at 22-1 straight up, 17-6 against the spread, and 13-10 over the total. Auburn has Scores and Odds NCAAB rankings of 16th for scoring offense and 113th for points allowed.
Above all, Auburn head coach Bruce Pearl has engineered a remarkable transformation. Auburn has developed one of the country’s top home court advantages. Most important of all, the Tigers have covered eight of their last ten games.

Indiana Hoosiers at #17 Michigan State Spartans, 3:30 p.m. FOX
Indiana stands at 16-6 straight up, 13-9 against the spread, and 9-13 under the total. Indiana ranks 135th for scoring offense and 44th for points allowed. Meanwhile, Michigan State is 17-5 straight up, 12-9-1 against the spread, and 11-10 over the total. Indiana is showing rapid Las Vegas Odds for College Basketball improvement under new coach Mike Woodson. But Michigan State is too much here. Sparty has gotten the cash in three of its most recent five outings.

#12 UCLA Bruins at #21 USC Trojans, 10 p.m. ESPN
To begin with, this is the top matchup of the weekend. Arizona is the surprise leader of the Pac-12 Conference. But UCLA and USC are right behind.
UCLA stands at 16-4 straight up, 9-10-1 against the spread, and 9-11 under the total. Overall, the Bruins rank 42nd for scoring offense and 89th for points allowed. USC has a record of 19-4 straight up, 12-11 against the spread, and 10-13 under the total. On the whole, the Trojans rank 123rd for scoring offense and 43rd for points allowed.
This game looks dead-even. In this situation, the road team is usually the better value based on the price break. Of major concern is that USC has covered only one of its last three outings.
