Week 5 was a profound success against the NCAA Vegas Odds as we hit all three legs for a spectacular win.  The Nebraska Cornhuskers covered as 10-point road favorites in a 28-10 win over the Purdue Boilermakers.  The USC Trojans got the money as 13.5-point home favorites in a 38-21 win over the Wisconsin Badgers.  And the Kansas State Wildcats delivered the goods as 6-point home favorites in a 42-20 win over the Oklahoma State Cowboys.

Betting on College Football – Nebraska -10 at Purdue

After a scoreless first half, Nebraska carried a 7-3 lead into the final frame before exploding.  The Blackshirts defense had a nice recovery after a poor performance against Illinois, and a pick-six interception applied the coup de grace.  True freshman QB Dylan Raiola continues to shine while avoiding mistakes.  Nebraska won by a final score of 28-10.  

College Football Odds – Oklahoma State at Kansas State -6

The Kansas State Wildcats were in an angry mood after getting blown out in their previous game against the BYU Cougars in what was a classic road trip.  K-State fell behind early 13-7 but scored 35 consecutive points to make for a comfortable win and cover.  The final score was 42-20.

College Football Betting – Wisconsin at USC -14 

Gamblers had to sweat out the USC Trojans delivering the final leg of our parlay.  Wisconsin took a 21-10 lead into the halftime break, making USC -13.5 looking doubtful at best.  But the Trojans rallied and proved to be the much more talented and explosive team in a 38-21 win.

Week 5 is the first full weekend of conference action, and it is a good one. Our parlay action for the weekend focuses on this most important week of the season thus far.  Last week, the Kansas State Wildcats and Oklahoma State Cowboys suffered critical losses in the Big 12.  Meanwhile, the Nebraska Cornhuskers lost to the Fighting Illini of Illinois in an embarrassing setback.  So, too, did the USC Trojans suffer a painful loss to the Michigan Wolverines. All these teams will be motivated for redemption and to get their seasons back on track.

The Purdue Boilermakers will host the Nebraska Cornhuskers at Ross-Ade Stadium in West Lafayette, IN. Kickoff time is noon ET, and television coverage will be on Peacock.

Purdue has some of the worst metrics in the country and is weak on both sides of the line.  Nebraska’s loss to Illinois was an exercise in self-destruction and never should have happened.  Big Red head coach Matt Rhule will most assuredly get everything he can out of the loss.  Purdue is a terrible team that can make Nebraska well.

Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy was correct in his assessment that poor quarterback play cost the Cowboys and was the difference against Utah.  Now, Okie State faces a K-State team with one of the most dynamic young QBs in the nation, Avery Johnson.  Johnson was productive but made too many mistakes last week in the loss at BYU.  We expect a K-State rebound here.  

Wisconsin at USC -14 

The USC Trojans will host the Wisconsin Badgers at the LA Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles, CA. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. ET, and television coverage will be on CBS.  

Last game, the Wisconsin Badgers lost 42-10 against the Alabama Crimson Tide as 14-point home dogs.  The game went over the NCAA Vegas Odds total of 47.  Wisconsin has a record of 2-1 straight up, 0-3 against the spread, and 1-2 over/under the total.  Wisconsin ranks 96^th for total offense, 104^th for passing, 59^th for rushing, and 110^th for scoring.  Defensively, they rank 41^st overall, 29^th against the pass, 78^th against the rush, and 69^th for points allowed.  Also, Wisconsin ranks 63^rd for fewest turnovers lost and 120^th for takeaways.
