September 18, 2024New England vs. NY Jets Same Game Parlay Recap
Last week, we hit both ends of our NFL Football Lines same-game parlay for the second consecutive week. New York dominated the game with a 400-139 total yards advantage. The Jets also held a 27-11 first down edge, and New York had a 40:04 time of possession. The Jets took a 14-0 lead in the second quarter and were never headed. It was an easy night for our parlay with the NFL Vegas lines. Also, the loss was a stark reality check for the Patriots, who may have gotten too much love for their season-opening win. Meanwhile, the Jets are now back in good graces with their fans and gamblers.

The New York Jets hadn’t defeated the New England Patriots at MetLife Stadium since 2015, but that streak has ended. The win marked Aaron Rodgers’ first home NFL picks and parlays victory since coming to New York.
It also marked Patriots rookie Drake Maye’s first regular-season appearance, as he was put in the NFL football betting picks matchup late in the fourth quarter, following a long night for starter Jacoby Brissett. The Patriots veteran went 12 of 18 for 98 yards and no touchdowns, taking five sacks for a loss of 46 yards behind a struggling offensive line. Maye finished 4 of 8 with 22 yards.
The Jets looked the most complete team so far this Free NFL picks season, coming out strong and staying in control for the entire game on all sides of the ball.
Rodgers may be the oldest player in the league, but he sure didn’t look like it. He finished with his best performance by far this year, going 27 of 35 for 281 yards and two touchdowns, along with 18 yards rushing, including a long of 11 yards.
After missing his first season with the Jets, Rodgers showed the worth of his acquisition.

At the beginning of their existence, the Jets and Patriots were members of the newly formed American Football League. Since that 1960 berth, they have shared the same division. Now, they will renew their ancient rivalry on Thursday night. Both teams have split their first two games with the NFL Football Lines. Of course, the Patriots are in their first season without Bill Belichick. At the same time, the Jets have Aaron Rodgers back under center. New York lost Rodgers last season after backing up the truck.

Jason Myers hit a 31-yard field goal in overtime to lift the Seattle Seahawks to a 23-20 win over the New England Patriots on Sunday. The game-winner capped a three-for-three day for Myers. Previously, he ensured the game went into OT with a 38-yard field goal with less than a minute left in regulation. Myers also hit from 44 yards in the second quarter.
Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith led Seattle on an eight-play, 71-yard drive to the New England 13 to set up the winning score. In sum, Smith was 33 of 44 for 327 yards on the day, with a 56-yard touchdown to DK Metcalf in the first half. Also, Metcalf finished with ten catches for 129 yards.
New York Jets Overview
Last game, the New York Jets won 24-17 against the Tennessee Titans as 4-point road dogs. The game went to a push with a total of 41. New York has a record of 1-1 straight up, 1-1 against the spread, and 1-0-1 over/under the total. New York ranks 26th for total offense, 21st for passing, 26th for rushing, and 15th for scoring. Overall, Rodgers threw for 176 yards and two TDs. Most important of all he got to kneel for his first victory that he started and finished as the Jets’ starting quarterback. Last year, he tore his left Achilles tendon on his fourth snap of the Jets’ 2023 season opener, which was a win over Buffalo.
One of Rodgers’ TD passes was to the 20-year-old Allen, marking a score by the NFL’s oldest and youngest players. The fourth-round pick out of Wisconsin said playing with Breece Hall takes some of the focus off him. Also, he credited tight end Jeremy Ruckert for the sealing block on his game-winning TD run.
