Who do you think will finish with the best NFL regular season record this year? Caesars has odds posted on every NFL team for the 2024-25 season and the two-time defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs are the favorite at odds of +425. Last year’s Super Bowl runner-up, the San Francisco 49ers, are second in NFL betting odds at +475. The other three teams listed at single-digit odds are the Baltimore Ravens at +700, Detroit Lions at +850 and Cincinnati Bengals at +850. One thing to look at when you are deciding which team to bet is their strength of schedule for the upcoming season. We’ll look at the odds and some of the strength of schedule numbers and make our picks for NFL best regular season odds for the upcoming season.

Is NFL Strength of Schedule Important?
The quick answer to that question is a resounding Yes. Just look at last season for example. Of the 15 teams that were predicted to have the easiest schedules in 2023, 11 of them finished with a winning record. Of the 15 teams that were predicted to have the toughest schedules, only five finished with a winning record. A total of 10 of the 15 teams with the easiest schedules went to the playoffs and nine of those 15 teams went over their win total. Only four of the teams with the toughest schedules made the playoffs.

What this list tells you is that you may not want to bet on any of the top eight teams who have the toughest schedules to finish with the best record next season. That would take out the Ravens who are fourth in the NFL betting odds. You may also want to avoid the Lions who have the 11th toughest schedule. It should also make you think twice before you take the 49ers, Cowboys or Jets who are tied for the 12th toughest schedule.
On the other side of the coin, we have teams to consider that have the easiest schedules. The Saints are tied with the Falcons for the easiest schedule in 2024-25. Could one of those teams actually finish with the best record? The Falcons have a new quarterback in Kirk Cousins, but they also have Raheem Morris as head coach and that fact alone makes them a non-bet. The Saints have Derek Carr at quarterback but they have a coach in Dennis Allen who hasn’t won. They are also a questionable team to bet on. The Bears have a rookie quarterback and a lot of offensive talent so they could be a team to watch. The Chargers have a new head coach in Jim Harbaugh and there is the potential for an immediate improvement in Los Angeles.
NFL Best Regular Season Record Picks
I think you also have to take into consideration a team’s win total for the season when you make this wager. The Chiefs have the highest win total of any team at 11.5 and they are very capable of finishing with the best record in the NFL next season. They don’t have much value at odds of just over 4-1, but there is no denying their pedigree. They are followed closely by the 49ers and Ravens at 11 wins. Up next are the Lions, Eagles, Bengals and Bills at 10.5 and the Jets at 10. Of those teams, the Eagles might be the best bet, as they are tied for the 21st toughest schedule next season. The Eagles have been one of the best teams in the NFL recently and they may be poised for a big bounce back season. And this was a team that won 11 games a year ago and was considered a disappointment. The Eagles have a lot of value at their current odds of +1100.
The longshot I would consider is the Chargers. They have everything in place for a rebound season and we get them at +4000. The problem for the Chargers is that they have to play the Chiefs twice, but they also get to play the Broncos and Raiders twice. It definitely helps that Los Angeles has one of the easiest strength of schedules for 2024.
