July 31, 2024Washington Sports Betting
July 31, 2024It is off to France this week for the best golfers in the world with the Olympics taking place. Xander Schauffele is the defending gold medal champion and he is one of the favorites this week along with World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler. There are plenty of golf betting matchups on the board with the best players in the world, including those from LIV in the field. We had a great winning streak going for more than a month but the last two weeks have been a bit rough with the matchups. We made up for it with an outright win on Jhonattan Vegas last week at the 3M Open, but we still need to get going again with the matchups. Let’s look at Olympics golf matchup picks.
Reduced juice betting is one of the best ways for any sports bettor to save money and far too many people don’t take advantage of it. If you are not playing at a sportsbook that offers reduced juice betting then you are simply giving away money. Check out the latest Olympics golf matchup odds at Caesars.

Golf Matchup Picks
Scottie Scheffler -195 vs. Rory McIlroy
I think there is a good chance that Scheffler wins the gold and I wanted to take him in at least one matchup this week. I am not thrilled about laying 2-1, but Scheffler is simply on another level when it comes to his play, especially on courses that demand accuracy. Scheffler is in the Top 20 in accuracy and he leads the PGA Tour in Shots Gained: Approach. I said in the odds preview that even though Scheffler is favored and favorites normally struggle, I expect him to win this week.
Tom Kim -145 vs. Byeong Hun An
I know that Kim has slipped a bit of late with a missed cut, but he had been playing really well and I think his recent time off will help. He tied for 6th at the Open de France last year. We know that accuracy off the tee is important and I just can’t see An doing well this week, as he ranks 155th in driving accuracy this season. I’ll take Kim in this golf betting matchup.
Matthieu Pavon -120 vs. Ryan Fox
I’ll go with one home country favorite and take Pavon. There is no question that Pavon will enjoy a lot of crowd support and I think he will have a good weekend. Fox is more suited to a course that demands power over accuracy. I’ll take Pavon in this golf matchup.
Sepp Straka -130 vs. Wyndham Clark
This play is all about driving accuracy, as Straka leads the PGA Tour in driving accuracy while Clark is a pathetic 162nd in driving accuracy. I am not sure why Clark has not played well of late, but I won’t try and figure it out. I’ll take Straka in this matchup.
Corey Conners -160 vs. Min Woo Lee
Conners is known for being one of the more accurate players in the game and his putting is usually very good. Lee is all over the place when it comes to driving accuracy so he could have a tough week. I’ll lay the price and take Conners.Check out the latest Olympic golf matchup odds at Caesars.
