Oregon pulled off a 77-73 overtime upset against No. 11 Wisconsin, fueled by a standout performance from Nate Bittle, who scored 23 points, including six in overtime. Jackson Shelstad forced the extra period with a deep, desperation three-pointer with 12 seconds left in regulation. The Ducks extended their winning streak to four games, while Wisconsin saw its five-game win streak go up in smoke pushing it a full two games out of first and into fourth place within the Big Ten overall standings.
Bittle, despite limited first-half minutes due to foul trouble, spearheaded a balanced Oregon attack. Shelstad added 13 points, while the Ducks’ bench contributed 21 points, highlighted by Jadrian Tracey (11) and Kwame Evans Jr. (10). Wisconsin’s John Tonje paced the Badgers with 22 points, including 16 in the first half, helping Wisconsin control the game early. Steve Crowl added 12 points but struggled with turnovers, committing six of the team’s season-high 17 giveaways. Oregon, by contrast, had just eight turnovers, a key factor in the game’s final outcome.
A crucial miscue late in regulation set up Oregon’s tying shot, as Wisconsin’s inbound pass deflected off John Blackwell’s knee and out of bounds. Max Klesmit’s missed jumper sealed the Badgers’ fate, sending the game to overtime, where Oregon capitalized outscoring Wiscy 11-7 to secure the huge outright road win and CBB betting odds cover as 8-point underdogs. Though the side portion of the same game parlay came in, we never had a shot of hitting the over even with five extra minutes added. Though the teams combined for 77 possessions, a poor 7-of-28 showing from deep by Wisconsin paired with only 18 combined free throw attempts saw the 150 points falling short of the closing 152.5-point Over/Under at PROLINE+.
Oregon Ducks at Wisconsin Badgers Same Game Parlay Picks
Saturday’s loaded college basketball betting slate tips off in Madison from the Kohl Center where the Wisconsin Badgers will look to secure their eighth straight home win against the also streaking Oregon Ducks. Dana Altman’s kids eked out a third straight win on Wednesday escaping Iowa City with the 80-78 win in tow. The Badgers went for 90+ points in back-to-back games Tuesday night boat racing Illinois 95-74 to secure the care free win and cover to keep pace with both Michigan schools atop the B1G standings.
Wisconsin went into Eugene last year and scored the 61-58 outright win as 1.5-point underdogs in the schools initial skirmish as Big Ten rivals. The 119 combined points fell well short of the 131.5-point closing total. The Ducks had dropped four straight on the Big Ten road (1-3 ATS) before toppling the Hawkeyes. I expect Wisconsin to be lined double-digit home chalk on the CBB betting odds with the total lined in the low to mid-150s at PROLINE+.

Oregon Ducks
While college basketball bettors that got to the party late were forced to settle for a push, the Ducks did what was needed to log their 19th win of the season at Iowa. The two-point win has Oregon at .500 in conference play as well as 5-4 when playing away from Matthew Knight Arena (3-5-1 ATS). The offense converted at a 47.6% clip from the field, but needed every one of the 80 points scored due to the defense allowing the Hawkeyes to knock down over 49% of their shots which included nine makes from downtown.
Big man Nate Bittle led the Ducks’ charge logging a double-double with 21 points and 10 boards. Most of his damage was done close to the rack which saw Oregon hold a 36-27 rebounding advantage and outscore Iowa 38-24 in the paint. Still, the non-cover was rough considering it led by as many as 10 at one point and once again failed to put two competent halves together.
Wisconsin Badgers
Since taking a goose egg in the Badgers 84-69 win at USC back on January 18, John Tonje has been playing with his hair on fire putting the Badgers in a position to claim the regular season conference title for the first time since sharing it with Illinois back in 2021. He’s averaged 28.5 points in the eight games played since, and went for 30+ in successive games by dropping 31 on the Fighting Illini a game removed from going for 32 in the Badgers comeback win at Purdue over the weekend.
The win over Illinois snapped a string of nine straight losses in the recent rivalry, and Wiscy pulled it off by continuing to be scorching hot from the field. The Badgers shot 52.3% overall and drained 10-of-24 shots from beyond the arc to secure the 21 point win and CBB spread cover. The Badgers ate Illinois alive near the rim racking up 48 points in the paint, and also won the rebounding battle 39-30 with 13 of the offensive variety.
Same Game Parlay Picks
After running up against Purdue and Illinois in its last two games, I’ve got a feeling the Badgers let their guard down in this one running up against a Ducks squad that hadn’t won a game on the road since the middle of January. That could prove to be costly however with Altman’s kids turning it on at the tail end of their B1G schedule. Since dropping a pair of disappointing and hard-fought decisions at the Wolverines and Spartans, Oregon rattled off two straight wins at home against Northwestern (81-75) and Rutgers (75-57) and enters this tilt confident after getting gout of Iowa City with a win in the bag.
While Wisconsin’s offense has been elite, averaging over 82 points per game (#24), its defense has been less impressive, allowing nearly 71 points per game (#146). Oregon has surpassed that mark in six straight games, averaging 76.2 points per contest while surrendering 75.5. This suggests the over is in play. Though Oregon may struggle to generate offensive rebounds against Wisconsin’s strong defensive glass presence (#41), both teams excel at ball security and rank among the nation’s top 50 in free-throw shooting—Wisconsin leads the country at 83.4%. With ample scoring opportunities available, pairing the Ducks with the over is how I’m attacking my same game parlay for what I expect will be an exciting back-and-forth affair. Fingers crossed we get two solid halves from the visitors!
